Trial starts for mother accused of leaving disabled son to die

like i said earlier on this forum...if she was overwhelmed then she should have taken these children to a local fire dept or the hospital and explained to someone that she cannot take the responsibility anymore...instead...she quit asking for assistance from the state and she gave up. there is no excuse for this, there is help everywhere, the woman took these things and had a heeping plate full and when it got tuff she gave up...overwhelmed or not...she is going to be held responsible for the death of her son...unfortunately...if you knew all this that was going on in her life why didnt you step up to help?  (May 20, 2009 | post #14)

and do you really think she is going to get off on these charges of abuse? I think not...her sentence might not be that harsh because its her first offense but she could get a long sentence because of the circumstances relating to his death...i really think your friend has a long road ahead of her in jail.  (May 20, 2009 | post #11)

I agree with what you stated...but its the point of being able to drop a person off that could possibly be harmed or not taken care of...dont you agree?  (May 19, 2009 | post #6)

this is the second time this has happened in this county in the last year...so why dont we adopt Nebraska's law and any parent who feels overwhelmed with a disabled child could drop them off at a hospital or fire dept so that that child doesnt face harm from an incompetent parent that gives up on taking care of their responsibilities. No offense to the disabled, but its like having a raging abusive parent taking care of an infant...its too risky...I would rather save a life no matter the circumstances than have this happen.  (May 19, 2009 | post #2)

The EPA takes an oppurtunity away from the Navajo

Sorry but I see it like this...the EPA probably looked at the Navajo Nations budget over the last ten years and it probably didn’t look too good...and since their bookkeeping skills weren’t up to par on a lot of things they probably held back instead of taking a risk...  (May 6, 2009 | post #2)

Police serve second warrant in Bloomfield cockfighting investig...

the point is that the state has to contain all these steroid fed hens, chics, and roosters. Its like being stopped in an airport for bringing fruit or animals in from another country visa versa...any chickens that are tainted; reproduce and can possibly harm someone if they eat a cooked egg from one of these hens...its animal control, and that is what this country is doing...its trying to control animals that are tainted with steriods or other illegal drugs before human consumption. I hope that makes sense...  (May 4, 2009 | post #39)

Im sorry that you feel that way but school sports is another way for a student that cant afford college to get a scholarship and go to a great university and get an education...so dont diss school sports entirely...these kids need that!  (May 4, 2009 | post #18)
