Killing of Twinsburg officer is described

Actually he is right. There are several versions of what actually happened. One version is that he threw the gun down a block before they caught him.  (Jul 17, 2008 | post #59)

Self-defense claim in officer slaying

Racist and a coward. Wonder if you are bold enough to make these comments when not hiding behind a computer.  (Jul 16, 2008 | post #253)

obama clinches it

There are also a lot of people that voted for him because they did not want to see another Clinton in the white house. I say give her a seat in his cabinet, but choose another female running mate.  (Jun 4, 2008 | post #17)

This sounds really good but even in the best of homes is not always possible. I am sure there are plenty of moms that would resent you implying that they hand their child over and do love and care for them. Work is not an option for most mothers.  (Apr 28, 2008 | post #131)

Residents discuss possible Wal-Mart

History has shown that suppliers suffer if they run afoul of Wal-Mart. Rubbermaid raised the prices it charged Wal-Mart in the mid-1990s because of an 80% jump in the cost of a key ingredient in its plastic containers. The retailer responded by giving more shelf space to lower-priced competitors, helping drive Rubbermaid into a 1999 merger with rival Newell, says John Mariotti, a former Rubbermaid executive. "Rubbermaid earned Wal-Mart's wrath by not giving it the best deal," he says. http://www.usatoda y.com/money/indust ries/retail/2003-0 1-28-walmartnation _x.htm The effects of Walmart are far reaching.  (Apr 25, 2008 | post #51)

Obama confronting inflammatory racial statements in speech

Thank you. I happened to think that Obama is a good candidate. I do not agree with his pastor, however. But I can respect your comments and the fact that you do not agree that he is a good candidate. When people start condemning all blacks I can not respect their opinion.  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #20)

Obama confronting inflammatory racial statements in speech

It is sad blacks cant see past color." What about all the black people supporting Hillary? I as a black person can not speak for all blacks. Why do you think you can? "I think OJ could run for President and the black community would support him." That is the most ignorant comment I have seen during this whole presidential campaign. I bet you think we all think OJ is innocent. That is why I say hang around some different black people because the ones you know do not represent us all.  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #19)

Most of you sicken me. I originally said "all of you", but that would put me in the same category as others on here that are racist. How in the world could Obama only be winning because he is Black? This is a tight race between him and Hillary. He is winning Black votes yes but also a lot of White votes. I can not believe how racist some people can be to lump all Black people together. To hear the people here on Topix, you would think we are all uneducated, don't take care of the 10 children we have, and are all criminals. Do not let the ignorant comments or actions represent us all. I do not agree with talking about politics at work. Common sense would tell you that conversations about candidates of the same race could cause division just because of the various issues (abortion, Iraq, gay marriage, etc.) Take a look around or start hanging around some different Black people.  (Mar 18, 2008 | post #16)

Shooting justified, report says

I can appreciate you comments but I often wonder what I can do to convince people that not all Black people are like those that make the news daily and are not supporters of those Blacks that still do and say things to promote racism. We can not answer for all Black people just as you can not answer for all people of your race. What can you do? Hang around some different Black people.  (Mar 14, 2008 | post #48)
