Bridge In Service

Nope didn't notice as I wasn't the one here, he spoke to my store mgr and asm. Thanks for your constructive advice though, you're a funny one.  (Aug 23, 2015 | post #9)

Actually I was wrong. It's 180 days after rehire. You have to wait a year to apply for it of you were gone longer than a year but I was only gone for about 7 months.  (Aug 23, 2015 | post #8)

Bridge In Service

The paperwork I filled out said 90 days after returning is when you can apply. I came back in December and filled out paperwork in June. My DM was a former mgr at my store and he has been in and said it would be approved but nothing has been done with it....I will email him tomorrow to see what's going on and get the details from him. Thanks for the info, though  (Aug 23, 2015 | post #6)

Thanks!! I was wondering about backpay and if I would receive it or not. Also is it something my Mgr has to go in and change at our store or is it something that is done through the DM himself?  (Aug 21, 2015 | post #4)

Bridge In Service

Long story short, I was an employee of Walgreens for about 13 years. I left for a period of about 7 months and then came back the end of December last year. I was told that I should be able to retain my pay from my previous employment rather than what my Mgr hired me back at. So my new store mgr had me fill out the bridge in service form the end of June, had a misunderstanding about what she was supposed to do with the form so it didn't even get sent off for 2-3 weeks or so. So now here it is towards the end of August and I still haven't heard anything nor does my paycheck reflect what I was making before. How long does this process usually take and should I be contacting someone else myself to find out what's going on?? There's quote a few more details to my leaving walgreens in the first place if that makes a difference.  (Aug 18, 2015 | post #1)

Haven't Received My W2

You can just shut your hole. They never even sent my husbands out and just blamed the weather. I had to call a 3 rd time and finally got someone who told me his was never even sent out because he consented to receive it online, even though he no longer had access to print it anymore since he was no longer an employee. Their fault not mine and if I had never called who knows when we would have gotten it.  (Feb 18, 2014 | post #26)

Haven't Received My W2

I called about my husbands today after waiting 20 min on hold, and was told they were asking everyone to wait until Wednesday to receive them due to the snow and ice storms. She said their mail service was behind due to that. Hmmmm. It is irritating that they don't send them before the 31st.  (Feb 7, 2014 | post #21)

Lowes Companies

Lowe's W-2 Tax Information Website

That's not true. My husband quit working there in July of last year and got an email a couple weeks ago to print his W2 from home. He was able to do that.  (Feb 5, 2014 | post #19)

w2

My husband used to work for the company for about 2 months and in that time I told him to consent to receive his W2 online. Well he quit in October and can't remember his password to get on to print it and never set up a security question so that he can go in and make a new password. His store mgr can't reset it because he's no longer in the system so she gave him a number to call. Well when calling the number to talk to someone about the W2, it redirects him to call the exact number he just called. Everything is a recording. Any idea how to get his W2 or if there's a way he can still print from home?  (Jan 27, 2014 | post #1)

Employee Strike

I did just see that you said the ones in your store that will suffer are the ones that all out. I didn't see that before but the new pto thing is hurting more than just the ones that call out all the time it's hurting the ones that got their hours cut as well.  (Jan 8, 2014 | post #6)

How is that true that the only people suffering from no pto are the ones that call in? How about the ones who aren't oven enough hours to accrue pto? Maybe you do have an issue with people calling in in your store but not in mine. Many of the people in mine have been there years and don't ever call in and because of hours getting cut that means you earn less pto which you shouldn't even see on paychecks until late feb/march. Walgreens just looks for more ways to do and pay less out for their employees. I've seen it and it's not just a few people who see it, it's a majority of the employees who have been with this company for years and years.  (Jan 8, 2014 | post #5)
