It's an older Kenmore, but I can't find a cubic inch size on it. It's 5'3" tall and 31" wide. It also has glass shelves and 2 crispers. We got it for $100. Would something like this be what you're looking for? I'm sure he would have something similar. Just check with him tomorrow during the day.... (Nov 19, 2009 | post #9)
Oops, my son just told me I have the address wrong. It's 212 B Washington St. You'll see the tent on the right side of the yard at the end of the driveway. Directions were right, just not the address number... Good luck. (Nov 19, 2009 | post #7)
There is a very nice gentleman in Newbern, at 112 Washington St, that sells used appliances. His prices are very reasonable. The one we bought from him when we moved here a few months ago is still working great. From Dyersburg, come thru Newbern on the Hwy 51 and follow it through town following the fork toward Washington St (do not cross the RR) and he's about 3 houses down on the right. I'm sure he could help you out. (Nov 19, 2009 | post #6)
I'm hoping to set up shop out of my home in Newbern in the near future. This posting was to see what kind of response I might expect in the area. I will be willing to travel as far as say a 45-50 mile radius around Newbern. Ideally, in addition to private orders, I would also like to find a couple of decorators to be their workroom and complete orders for them. So far I haven't found but one in the Dyersburg area that is offering decorating services and would farm out their labor. There just aren't any decorators around it seems. I wondered if this was because there wasn't any need, or if the market is ripe to offer these services. It appears it will either be a lucrative business with lots of interest or perhaps no interest at all.... I did have one response in the Newbern post that said there was no money and no jobs in the area and in effect no one would be interested. Therefore, I also would like to offer a barter system for services, so if money were an issue, it might also not be a problem. I will let people know on these forums when I am ready to begin and also advertise on a small scale. Most of my work is word of mouth and has been more than enough to keep me busy in the past. I hope to meet with good response. My work is very good, my prices are the best you'll find, and you'll find me very easy to work with. We shall see what happens..... (Nov 15, 2009 | post #4)
This may not give an accurate reading of the area, but I needed to know what kind of response a window treatment business might receive. I previously owned a custom window treatment business for about 10 years in another state. I give free estimates (taking measurements and offering ideas - I am not an interior decorator and my prices reflect that, but I do have a very good eye for decorating), help on fabric selection, create whatever style in my workshop and offer installation. Full service shop from start to finish. In checking the area I have found very, very few places for people to have this work done. Could anyone tell me what kind of response to expect? My styles range from swags and jabots, roman shades, balloon shades and cornices to some of the more avant garde things you see in magazines. Basically I'm a workshop and you're cutting out the middleman... Does this sound like something the area around Newbern, Dyersburg and even as far as Jackson would be interested in? Your feedback is really appreciated. Thanks (Nov 14, 2009 | post #1)

Does anyone know where we might find a 1985 or '86 Ford F150 truck, preferably Lariet edition. Would like to keep price under $1000 and in decent shape. Has to run well. Extras such as power windows, A/C, nicer seats, etc, much appreciated. Thanks for anyone's help.... also, if you know of a similar type older Ford truck, please let us know. (Oct 31, 2009 | post #1)
Thanks, I'll try and have something appropriate for both. (Oct 19, 2009 | post #3)
We have just moved to Newbern and wondered what to expect as far as trick-or-treaters for Halloween. I presume it will be on Saturday night, but how much turn out can be expected? We live in town near the elementary. Thanks (Oct 19, 2009 | post #1)
