Lower Eastside Federation

They USED to be, years ago. More accurately a bunch of ragtags hanging around together who had nothing to do but wander around. They thought they were tough as nails with their bad-ass can of spray paint.  (Jan 18, 2010 | post #8)

More food-stamp recipients in Erie County than ever before

If only we could. But, we are forced to pay for it without being asked. Why can't we choose where our tax dollars go?  (Jan 17, 2010 | post #5)

Welfare Abusers Should Give Thanks

I can see from you typing "give" that your g key is operational. I must then assume you are unfamiliar with the proper spelling of some words. Let me assist. Fightin - properly spelled fighting. Workin - properly spelled working. You are welcome.  (Jan 5, 2010 | post #119)

Well, taxes are due. She couldn't pay them before and nearly lost the house at least twice. So, the timing of this doesn't surprise me in the least. Gotta raise money to pay dem taxes. I would be surprised if they were paid already, and this money was really for the "foundation ".  (Dec 11, 2009 | post #2)

Tourism important stepping stone

Oh, I see. Sorry. I guess it was too early for an intelligent thought for me. And you make an excellent point. I will answer this better later. For now, thanks for the comment. I didn't expect that.  (Dec 1, 2009 | post #15)

Sorry bubba, but Becky's got an excellent point. The jobs may be far and few between, but they are there - er - elsewhere. Both of my sisters have moved away from Erie, and they both work at Universitys. One is director of aquatics in Wisconsin, the other teaches at a University in Maryland. Me? I stayed here. I worked, and still do, at a blue collar job. I worked for a great shop with an excellent wage. But, it closed. I've worked in an office for three years till an illness earlier this year that got me fired for missing work. Now, I'm in another office part time and collecting unemployment. Her point was that the good jobs that were here, are gone or leaving. So is everyone who needs them.  (Nov 30, 2009 | post #7)

RedFox makes Joke about it on Sanford and Son-1976

Thanks! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours as well. Munchkin even got turkey flavored cat food. Spoiled brat. I do love my kitty though. It's why she gets everything she wants.  (Nov 26, 2009 | post #4)

Real Christmas Tree or Fake Tree?

Real Christmas Tree or Fake Tree?

What does a tree have to do with Christmas anyway? There wasn't one in the barn when the kid was born anyway. Is it just good ole commercialism or is there a purpose? Seriously.  (Nov 24, 2009 | post #55)
