They were in a bad wreck but I don't know any details yet, my brother will call me later to talk about it. If its something I feel comfortable sharing publicly I'll post it.  (Apr 25, 2011 | post #4)

I'll try and find out if that's true for you. My brother is good friends with him.  (Apr 25, 2011 | post #3)

Is that directed at me? I ask because it was you that asked me to give an opinion and I'm wondering if you're misunderstanding what I'm getting at. If need be I'll call and we can discuss, just let me know.  (Mar 16, 2011 | post #31)

I'm replying, only because I was asked to look here and give an opinion. Opinion is, there are a few serious accusations that need to be left alone. The parties involved know what is truth and what isn't, and if action is needed I'm sure it will be (or has been) dealt with. Everything brought up from outsiders, no matter how close they are to the parties involved, need to know these are personal and private family issues and it should be left to the family members it directly effects to handle things as they see fit. This doesn't single out the Brian-Peggy-Jamie relationship...it means Erek and Ryan as well. I'm leaving it at that. Brian, Peggy, and Jamie know they are free to call/text me at any time if they'd like more out of me, but I'm leaving it at that.  (Mar 16, 2011 | post #28)

lamberts cafe

Lambert's is awesome! I don't think I've ever eaten anything that tasted bad. I've been several times over the years and I've never been where the wait wasn't at least 2 hours. Just go prepared for that!  (Feb 26, 2011 | post #6)

Marion School Alum who have passed

I worked with Danny Bozarth and John Paul Young back in the day at Pizza Depot. I was good friends with both, knew Danny's family well, and hung out with both Danny and John Paul a lot. I still to this day think about both of them at times, lots of good memories as we had a lot of good times. They were both together in Memphis and were murdered, I know the details but won't get into it on here as it's gruesome and is better left unsaid. I also knew Jason Moore, went to church with him, and was very good friends with him as well. Since he had been away with the military, and I had moved away myself, it had been awhile since I had seen him and I was so shocked and sad to hear of his death. I still see his father from time to time when I'm in town.  (Dec 27, 2010 | post #144)

toys for tots

On this subject, does anyone know of an organization that will take used toys for children? It doesn't have to be for Christmas necessarily. I have several baby/toddler toys that are in excellent condition, all look brand new, that I would like to give away to a needy child/children as opposed to it just going to a thrift store. Toys for Tots won't take them because they have to be new in a box, and that's fine, I understand. Does anyone know if any of the children's hospitals or even Ronald McDonald house takes items like this?  (Dec 20, 2010 | post #6)

Toy donations?

Does anyone know of a place that will take used toy donations for Christmas? I have several toys and stuffed animals that are in excellent condition that I would like to donate. I hate to take them to St. Andrew's or Goodwill because they will just be sold in a thrift store and I would like to know that they were just given to some children in need.  (Dec 12, 2010 | post #1)

Good things about West Memphis

I've never heard of the Chicken Shack, but Waffle House is awesome at 3am when you're trying to sober up. You will see some sights!  (Dec 11, 2010 | post #9)

Good things about West Memphis

I will be the first to say that I have nothing good to say about West Memphis. I've been moved away for nearly 13 years and when people ask me where I'm from I simply say Memphis. You'd be amazed at the number of people that know of WM and what bad image they have of it because the only thing you see from the interstate are the truck stops. I also don't talk bad about the place because it's home and it just is what it is. I have many friends and lots of family that are still in WM or the surrounding area and I would love to move back because of that alone. It's not ideal and I definitely wouldn't live in town, but I miss it.  (Dec 11, 2010 | post #6)

Holiday Plaza ''Mall''.

It has been that way for years. There used to be a handful of shops that I vaguely remember tagging along with my parents to (over 20 years ago)...a shoe store, jewelry store, and the book store. Hancock Fabrics was there, the bowling alley of course, and Walgreens. Even then there still wasn't anything of note. I don't believe it was Walmart that has ever had anything to do with it but just Memphis in general.  (Dec 2, 2010 | post #2)
