Mayor's comment on Rape compared to a Slip and Fall Lawsuit

If that girl was worried about the "shame", she would not be bringing a civil suite against this town , where all of it will be brought out. The shame needs to be held by the law enforcement men and mayor who allowed such a crime to go unpunished. If she was not saying no, why did the girls help holding her down have to punch her in the face when she would come to and fight? why would she call 911 as soon as she was able to get up and out of the house? then be told that there would be no police to assist her? All of the people involved should be in jail, and wait til after the hearing the "shame" will be theirs!!!  (Mar 19, 2014 | post #55)

get out of frankfort while u can!

Its sad, thats one of the reasons people move to a small town. Thinking that kind of stuff wont happen here, or if it did a quick response and end to it would happen. Ha, not here.  (Mar 19, 2014 | post #5)

I want to repeat, I think "Angela" is just another Devils Advocate, and a poor one at that.  (Jan 25, 2014 | post #97)

12 arrested in Frankfort, mostly on drug charges

I often thought that would be a great program to do with "dead beat parents". You go to jail once to put the a reminder in your brain that you are responsible for your children, and after that work release every day , the county paid their rent and whats left mailed to the ordered reciever of the child support. Until, if ever the "deat beat" is completely caught up. Throwing these people in jail does nothing productive for our children, causes further proverty and essentially no one wins. The biggest loser being the children. It could and would work if done. I truly believe that!  (Jan 23, 2014 | post #56)

Im with you Devils Advocate. If anyone had anyone has a daughter or even a wife, id move as far away from that town as possible. The women of this town know that nothing will be done , so how many do think have gone unreported because of exactly this situation. I wish more would come forward.  (Jan 21, 2014 | post #50)

And I don't think being mayor is the right "practice " field to start ones political career. The "string pullers" knew what they were doing having such an inexperienced young person in that position. Lets not forget that the girl that held her down while the grown men raped her fed her those pills. Knowing I'm sure all along what was to happen to her. The same girl even hit her when she would rise up to protest. Sick individual. All of them need to answer for their part in the crime, to my knowledge not a single one of them were arrested. The girl was even allowed to continue to harrass the girl at her own home. (all of this in the lawsuit) The most deplorable act of all was the police officers/detective s that chose to cover it up and delay the investigation. Outright sickening. All still working to protect and serve the citizens of the community. Makes a person feel real down right cozy.  (Jan 21, 2014 | post #49)

Mayor Chris McBarnes' Rape Cover-up Costs City $18.7 Million

You are right. That did happen, and what does that make the FPD look like? Good upstanding and here to protect and serve. JDub they know right where that man is and who he works for. Maybe thats the answer, who he works for. If it were not so damn corrupt it would be laughable.  (Jan 21, 2014 | post #8)

If you can sit there on your throne and say this town isnt a mess and question why it is, and pretend you know WHATS NOT TRUE, then your lying. I only said that I have heard it said often by the older generation. NOt the drug users and the drug dealers but by law abiding , tax paying citizens. Are they right? Why such the uproar of the mention. P.s Has nothing to do with any mexican Cartel. Mexicans were a rare thing when these old timers were around. .Hopefully soon a leader will emerge that will have Zero tolerance from any and all city officials. Any and all may I repeat. Then and only then will things begin to turn around.  (Jan 20, 2014 | post #50)

Yes you are most likely correct. If you read carefully though you will note not much has been said that can be lied about. Do you know how hard it is to not get on here and rant and rave and demand? A family that has lived in this county for decades. Paid the taxes. I almost think keeping it so hush hush maybe isn't the best course of action. With due time and if nothing is solved, maybe a small reward will be offered up and the time to be quiet will be over. Not until the victim and her babies are well out of this town. oh, if you only know how hard I must bite my tongue......it bleeds. Then you get posters on here who say such things as Hotdog, thats when you wish the computer address could be found. Seemed a bit to smug in my opinion.  (Jan 20, 2014 | post #27)
