You seem to not be able to grasp the meaning of the word judgmental. If I were being judgmental, I would judge the ENTIRE character of a person, their nature one hundred percent, on one aspect - tattoos - which I have not. I am of the opinion, that they have self esteem issues. It does not make them a monster, or a bad person, and I do not judge their entire nature based on their choice of why to get a tattoo. It's my opinion that those who get a tattoo for nothing more than showing it off have self esteem issues. To get a tattoo just for the attention it brings shows a lack of self esteem, the need for approval from others, and the measures you take to secure that attention and approval. Sorry, it screams low self esteem to me, and my opinion is all it is. An opinion. Now, if I wanted to be judgmental, I could judge your entire nature, based on your atrocious spelling. However, I will chalk it up to you either not knowing the difference between you're and your, or you just being too lazy to care. If you're going to try and lecture me, have the common decency to spell better than a second grader. Northwood, we will simply have to agree to disagree. You can throw God into the argument all you want, but it does not make you right. If God wanted you to have money, he would print it for you. If he wanted you to have a car, he would have built one. Same for your house, your cell phone, etc. etc. I highly doubt that you are a creature of perfection, as you seem to believe, but you will do as you like. Enjoy the rest of your deep conversation about how others should live and run their lives. It's your blood pressure rising, and your sleep that you're losing. Happy Halloween!  (Oct 31, 2012 | post #45)

Oh yes, because in 30 years I'm gonna be more worried about a tattoo than my deteriorating health from old age. And it looks low class depending on what you get and where you get it. For some, like you, it's very unclassy to have one. For others, it's a turn on. Some love 'em, some hate 'em. I have four, all of which are not in obvious areas. I have them because each one means something to me, which to me, is what matters. If you're going out to get a tattoo that you can show off to others on a daily basis, then you have self-esteem issues. That's just my opinion. If the tattoo you get has meaning for you, no matter where you get it, then that's great. If you're going to get permanent ink, make it something that means something to you. And to those who don't like it. Go pound sand. Not everyone likes tattoos, but not everyone likes stereotypical and judgmental pricks either. Just sayin'  (Oct 30, 2012 | post #40)

Cape Jackson Game

Oh come the hell on people. Neither side is complete perfect or comprised of angels. Cape and Jackson both have pulled pranks, vandalized the other, or rushed a field. The fact that you people are still arguing over this is laughable.  (Sep 27, 2012 | post #89)

Cape Jackson Game

Jackson won, eh? I'll have to agree, the people charging the field should have better sense than to stampede over the cheerleaders (who by the way - yes - should have moved out of the way if they could. If you see a car swerving in your direction, you DO make an attempt to pull your car out of the way, correct? Even if you are hit, you tried to get out of the way - and if the cheerleaders tried to move, then that's the fault of the morons charging the field), but to be honest, it's Jackson. Trampling over people like a herd of cattle is quite the norm, from what I've seen out of that town. Sorry, had to get my obligatory jab at Jackson in. All in good fun. ;) Carry on. There's always next year. That's the beauty of sports.  (Sep 21, 2012 | post #20)

Yeah. Quite unfortunate, this website. Now everyone can be some online badass without ever backing it up. Blech. How's that game going, by the way?  (Sep 21, 2012 | post #12)

Who are the best rappers in cape

I stated what was only my opinion. I don't consider it music. If you do, that's fine, because that's your opinion and your taste. I don't care if they "played instruments in school," because the majority don't play their instruments now in their own "music." I also noted that I do consider what they do a talent. I certainly can't do it. But do I consider it music? No. Just like I don't consider that stupid auto-tune crap music. I consider auto-tune specifically as fake. I like guitars, pianos, drums, bass, and SINGING. While I consider rapping a form of expression, a form of art, and a talent, I don't consider it music. Once again, that is simply MY opinion and my taste. It is not right, it is not wrong. It's an opinion. And I'm happy to hear you listen to all types of music. Welcome to the club.  (Jul 26, 2012 | post #51)

Cape Billiard Center

I get what you're saying, Jo, and I agree. Belowme - I don't recall much of that happening when Loi owned the place. For instance, with regards to the change machine, I maybe saw it out of order once. The ATM I only ran into it being out of order a couple times, and they always had my drink, but I'm not a beer drinker, so, just kind of depends on the drink I guess. They could have been out of a certain beer plenty of times, and I wouldn't have noticed or cared. Any bar or place of business has a potential for being great, but it's up to the owners and employees to help it reach that potential. What is so nice about where I go to play pool up here is the fact that if you're involved in one fight, you are done. 86'ed. Out. Banned. Don't come back. If some of those bars in Cape were more rigorous and disciplinary as far as kicking people out, they wouldn't have to deal with some of the more unscrupulous characters that go in there. Granted, there is not one place up here in the immediate area that has more than 3 damn pool tables in the building. *sigh* What I loved about TBC was the large number of tables, and the space between them. Everything's so cramped up here. >.< But as I said, very little in the way of drama, fighting, and seeing as the state is fairly lenient with regards to marijuana, it's typical to walk out back and take a hit of something with someone. Nobody gives a crap.  (Jul 18, 2012 | post #16)

Cape Billiard Center

Why is it The Billiard Center's job to control underage girls leaving with adults over 18? I mean I get it, they should be carded before they even step foot inside. However, you think that even if The Billiard Center cards them and doesn't allow them access, that they won't make that choice on their own? Ultimately, it's the child and the adult that make the decision, and that is certainly not The Billiard Center's problem. All the adult has to do is go outside, lead the girl to his car, and leave with her. If that happens outside, where The Billiard Center has zero control, is that their fault too? I understand what is being said, I really do, however, there's only so much someone can do. As for the 14 year old, where the hell are her parents and why are they letting her run around downtown by herself? If anyone should be held accountable, it's them. Personally, the 14 year old parents need to give her an old-fashioned ass-whooping, or lock her in their room with nothing but essentials to survive for a month. No access to internet, a phone, or a TV. No fun. You eat your meals, you stay in the house, and you think about your actions. If you are not keeping an eye on your kids, that is your problem, not the problem of a bar, of a restaurant, or any other establishment that is not a school, or a church, or another place that will take responsibility for watching your kids. And what about the adults who WATCH as a 14 year old and an over 18 year old leave together? Should they not be held accountable for letting something happen? If The Billiard Center is at fault for letting it happen, what about adults who just watch? Our society has become perfectly complacent with complaining online. We have also become just fine with recording a fight, or recording someone drowning, or being hurt by someone else, on our cell phones and posting it on YouTube. This is not the fault of one bar. We have parents not giving one damn about their kids, letting them run wild and do what they want, not punishing them, because we are telling them how to parent. Don't hit your kids, don't ground your kids. Tell your kids that they are always a winner. Don't prepare your kids for the harsh realities of a suck ass world. A lot of parents (not all, mind you) expect everyone else to watch out for their children, when that shouldn't be the case. It's awesome when a perfect stranger sees something that's not right, and puts a stop to it before something bad happens, but they should have never had to do it in the first place, because that is simply not their job. There are so many angles, reasons, and culprits that one single bar is not to blame. This is not the fault of "the Billiard Center," this is the fault of whoever is not running The Billiard Center how it should be run. Blaming the Billiard Center for its problems is like blaming America for its deficit. It's not "America's " fault, but the fault of those running this country. And you're more than welcome to disagree with my views, because you're entitled to do so. I am sorry to hear that the atmosphere is not what it once was, as from what I understood from those who still play there, it's about the same as it always was, and I haven't been there for over a year (and I think I only went in there once last time) and everything seemed normal. But believe me, I know that even when I did frequent it, it was not perfect. There was the bust years ago that caused them to lose their liquor license for....I don't remember how long they lost it for. Not everyone who went in there was a saint. There were lots of fights over something stupid. But that could be said about quite a few bars. The Billiard Center was never perfect, but at a point in time, the good outweighed the bad. It's sad to see that that has changed.  (Jul 18, 2012 | post #11)

Cape Billiard Center

yawn* You? Offend me? Over The Billiard Center? Don't flatter yourself. As I said, I haven't been there in quite some time. It's quite possible that the atmosphere could have changed drastically, but once again, it's the best place in Cape to play in tournaments. It's Cape. You think that The Billiard Center would realistically be the only place handing out drugs, or where predators hang in that shithole? Haha!  (Jul 17, 2012 | post #9)

Cape Billiard Center

I imagine that they still would, justsayin. And looks like you two know very little. I haven't been there in quite awhile, but even when I did, they would get some bad people going in, but they weren't regulars, just some bored punks out to cause trouble. The pool tournaments were always great, payouts on those were nice, and they just had their annual one with the 4K or 5K added. And also, unless they changed the minimum age allowance, it's tough to be a nursery for 16 or 17 year olds when you have to be 18 to get in, and will typically get carded. Oh, but what do I know? That place was only my second home for a few years, mostly under the old management, but from what I understand, while some has changed (the look inside for one), a good number of the great pool players still go there, and good luck finding a pool hall in Cape with more tables and bigger tournaments.  (Jul 16, 2012 | post #5)
