Aaaaah, as I thought......... A B-class troll. I noted more people who pitied 'Coal Miner' than those who were jealous, though. (Jun 21, 2012 | post #55)
Young adults*if they can even be called that* are being bombarded with images of young love lasting forever...... So they think that as soon as someone makes their heart beat the slightest bit faster, it is love-eternal, and -bam!- what do you know? Often times the parents are not involved in their childs' lives enough to put their feet down and teach them any better. There are also those who never received love from their parents, and thus will do whatever it takes to 'feel love.' (Jun 19, 2012 | post #12)
You would find much better luck in furthering your knowledge of Wicca by simply searching it privately online instead of hearing what the closed-minded religious fanatics of this area have to say. There are forums that are not in any way connected to Topix that have many much more knowledgeable folks than a 'locally-based forum.' I would list my religion as 'undefined', as I am testing the waters of many to see what works for me...... Though I will tell you that something about certain aspects of Wicca do appeal to me....... I will likely be an oddball who combines religions to how I feel. Best of luck to you in your search, my friend. (Jun 19, 2012 | post #32)
My favorite would be, hands down, Goblet of Fire. Yours, my friend? (Jun 19, 2012 | post #4)
Trying to pin-point an age for this is useless. It is different for everyone. Some are ready before others, though too many these days think they are ready when they really aren't. I lost mine at 17, but I know many who are in their twenties who really should not even think of the word 'sex', much less have it. (Jun 19, 2012 | post #1722)
I do not need to read these posts to either prove or disprove my point. I work with the public of this community- I talk with more miners than I would have the time to count all through out the day. They are always the ones I hear making a fuss about wanting to get laid off. It's easy to point to something that someone says online. But I hear these words come straight from the mouths of your co-workers. (Jun 19, 2012 | post #47)
I am not here to bash or praise Gaga. She has released some songs that I love, others that I despise....... But the simple fact of the matter is this: You could take any musician of modern day and then, if you look hard enough, point to one of the past and call the 'newcomer' a copycat. (Jun 19, 2012 | post #254)
Okay, one, not all women are the same, even in a small county like this. Please, don't be so quick to judge....... but before I go off on that topic and ignore this one completely, making myself look like an idiot....... I do respect miners. Anyone who is willing to risk their lives to support their family and the energy of our country deserves recognition. But you say that anyone who talks down about miners and wishes that they would lose those jobs are simply jealous of you. That is not true. As I stated before, I have heard many young men in the mines stating that they wish that they would get laid off. I do not hear non-miners making that statement often at all...... As I stated, mining must be 'too hard of a job' for these 'men', and yet they often brag about having the same things as you. Oh, and this was not directed toward me, I know, but I would like to make a reply to this statement of yoursI simply feel sorry for you when the mines do shut down and Dr. Moonshine still has a job. I am sorry, I hate it for you, my father, my brother-in-law, and all of the other miners in this county...... but it is coming. (Jun 19, 2012 | post #43)
Oh, that is perfectly understandable. Not hard feelings in the least. I am doing well, thank you for asking. And yourself? (Jun 18, 2012 | post #485)
This series has recently caught my eye while passing through the bookstore, and I have wondered if it is worth picking up. Anyone read it? What are your opinions? (Jun 18, 2012 | post #1)
They bring such nostalgia to me, having grew up with them...... Not often can that be taken literally, but I feel that I kinda grew up with the characters. ^w^ Something about the whole series is just...... Charming. (Jun 18, 2012 | post #2)
Scoob and Kaity, I am adding you both right now. Sorry for the pause, I was in the middle of a game. ^w^; (Jun 18, 2012 | post #479)
I was wondering if anyone here was familiar with any musicians in the 'steampunk' genre. Now, I know that to identify it as a music genre itself is a stretch, but I have only heard of two such bands in passing- Abney Park and Clockwork Quartet, and one could note enough similarities in their sound to identify it as at least a sub-genre to itself. If you know of any bands similar to these two, please give me the names. I would like to hear more of that sound. -w- (Jun 18, 2012 | post #1)
