Not true...... They can't combine 2 different cases in one hearing- DOMA is about federal benefits. Prop 8 is about taking away existing rights.  (Oct 1, 2012 | post #7)

DOMA and Prop 8 are totally different cases so they can't be heard in one hearing.  (Oct 1, 2012 | post #3)

Prop 8 Repeal Ballot Initiative Cleared For Signature Gat...

this is VERY BAD move by LHC They decided this within a week after EQCA dropped 2012. LHC didn't reached out to LGBT community to discuss about going back to the ballot in 2012. They decided it on their own. That's a bad idea. Also, I heard that LHC has no faith in Prop 8 case whatsoever, especially by USSC.. They have no idea how this signature collection will hurt the case IF it gets on the ballot because I feel that some to most LGBT community feels that Prop 8 case will be successful than voting ON OUR RIGHTS. I have been reading all comments on LHC and most say its a bad idea.... NOBODY HAS A RIGHT TO VOTE ON OTHER PEOPLE'S CIVIL RIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!  (Dec 18, 2011 | post #20)

California Supreme Court To Hear Gay Marriage Case After ...

Hi Rose, I believe that CA Supreme Court will not "give a narrow" standing decision. They must give a full standing or no standing to appeal. I imagine that they will ask the attorneys will it best interest to defend the state's interest in appeal without the state's permission.....  (Jul 30, 2011 | post #46)

As right now, I believe that CASC will say that the Prop 8 supporters don't have standing.. We might know what the court will rule by their questioning to the attorneys..  (Jul 29, 2011 | post #20)
