Do you think that THE PRICE OF GAS will go back up?

I think so, I always said that it only went down because the election was going on, but after it was all over it would somehow go back up  (Jan 17, 2009 | post #1)

Unemployment takes a serious toll on Jamaicans; 600 turn ...

In Michigan the unemployment rate is high, so if you have a job, be thankful and hold on to it, even if you don't like it. Jobs are easy to come by. Here, they're still laying people off work. That's why saving is always important especially for times like this. My husband wants to move to Georgia. It's hard everywhere, just some worsier then others. I'm not moving nowhere I've know nothing about, because times is hard where I'm at. I've been here my whole life and know about where I live, my family and friends are here. Things are going to get worse before better so I'll duke it out here  (Jan 17, 2009 | post #2)

Why do BAD things happen 2 GOOD ppl.

My cousin mother had an Aneurysm, she was engaged but she gave up her engagement, job, moved her mother in after the hospital to take care of her. In the hospital her mother also had a stroke. Her mother lived 16 years after that and recently died. My cousin is not only jobless, but she lost her home. She's really having it harder now then before.  (Jan 14, 2009 | post #1)

Single Parent v/s Troubled Child

I know that troubled kids also come from a two-parent home, but the majority of them is from a one-parent home. I'm not saying single parents can't handle their child. I'm saying it's a struggle for the MAJORITY of them, and the end results for the MAJORITY of them is a TROUBLED CHILD. Sometimes guilt can keep us from seeing the truth. If they shoe fits, wear it, if it don't then, you have nothing to feel insulted by  (Jan 14, 2009 | post #70)

Single Parent v/s Troubled Child

Thank-you, I truly wasn't trying to start anything or come across negative, but I just wanted to start a discussion about the majority of troubled kids. Sometimes, we wonder why some kids are like they are, because theirs some adult that defends their behavior.  (Jan 14, 2009 | post #69)

Single Parent v/s Troubled Child

my brother was a troubled child raised by both parents, our dad is a minister. my parents did everything to punish him, including talking to him trying to find out what goes on in that head, nothing worked. raising children isn't easy, but raising children as a single parent is more of a struggle.  (Jan 13, 2009 | post #16)

Single Parent v/s Troubled Child

my oldest child out of three is a 12 year old boy. my husband and i were at the school checking on him last year being it was his first year in middle and a boy was acting out, so the security said i'm going to call home and the boy said she aint there call her work so what she aint gone do nothing to me she even aint gone say nothing to me. Those was his exact words. My husband and I looked at each other like man who is this child's parent. I wish mine would, They bet not get a call home, but every parent isn't interacting, positive, and loving.  (Jan 13, 2009 | post #15)

Single Parent v/s Troubled Child

Every situation differs, I didn't say all kids are troubled, but the majority of them are and when questioned about life as a child at home with their parents the attitude changes when asked about the absent parent... Your sister is blessed to have loving folks to help her because it's hard, even for a two-parent home. She's doing a great job with the kids, but every single parent isn't interacting and positive as your sister. Remember some parent's work and doesn't have time to raise their child or talk to them  (Jan 13, 2009 | post #14)

EUR This N That | Tyler Perry Has A Question For Us

I'm a Tyler Perry fan and I support him with his plays and movies. The man has talent, aint no other way of puttin it. Every single play/movie his has wrote-produced- acted in has a strong positive message. Not trying to be funny but whites can't relate to Medea, in anyway. He write based on and everyday life in the hood of relationships. By the way in the play Marriage Counselor, he has a white receptionist in it  (Jan 13, 2009 | post #9)

Single Parent v/s Troubled Child

I have a female cousin raised by her mother, and she married a man and the marriage didn't go as she attended she wanted a dad in him and not a husband. He refused to be the dad she never had so she killed him and now she's in prison. I have male cousins raised by their mother only in prison. One of my male cousin was raised by both parents, but his ma left my uncle once the kids were teens for another woman and that's when the problems started, and out of anger and confusion he killed another person  (Jan 13, 2009 | post #8)

I totally agree with you, but sometimes women tend to be softer then men, so can suck at times at being stern. lol  (Jan 13, 2009 | post #5)

Please be mature about the comment I didn't say all single mothers, but the majority of them have a troubled child or two.  (Jan 13, 2009 | post #2)

Single Parent v/s Troubled Child

I believe that most crime committed is due to single parent raising child along. One parents rather is Mother or Father, can't be both parents. Single parents try, but you can't be. Children is looking for more then love from one parent, they would rather have both parents in the home. They tend to carry that one parent raised me, the other never been there for me and so on.  (Jan 13, 2009 | post #1)
