So what is your point? My point is the story has nothing to do with race.  (Yesterday | post #34)

Man-made crisis, not man-made climate

Hahahaha christian conservatives are the only people drinking any kind of Kool-Aid as you pointed out with the Jim Jones incident. Do you really think any kind of liberals would have been sucked into that mess? No way. Just the religious right. Look at all the followers of Joel Olstein. How is what that crook doing any different from Jim Jones? He just hasn't put any cyanide in the juice - yet.  (Yesterday | post #71)

I'm drinking the Kool-Aid? Take a look in the mirror. Please do tell how these scientists have "screwed the world." I would love to know how reducing out carbon output is harmful to our planet as you seem to suggest.  (Yesterday | post #70)

Jack isn't speaking either. So what does that tell you? Perhaps he doesn't want whatever is being investigated to get out either.  (Yesterday | post #7)

Man-made crisis, not man-made climate

Since you are going to quote world net daily you should read this article about the petition from the huffington post. http://www.huffing tonpost.com/kevin- grandia/the-30000- global-warming_b_2 43092.html The list is bogus and unverifiable. Plus they started the list in the 1990's. Their website looks like a 5th grader created it. By the way wasn't it republicans who were complaining about Acorn workers fabricating voter registration forms? Yet it's republicans who want to believe that actual scientists have signed this random petition? Please.  (Tuesday | post #59)

Wow how prejudice. I never hear any of you complain about all of the white people in the police log everyday. I can't wait until all of us caucasians are the minority. All of you prejudice/racist people will get a taste of your own medicine.  (Tuesday | post #18)

Man-made crisis, not man-made climate

Yeah, why should we believe thousands of scientists when we can belive expert scientists such as Sarah Palin, O'Reilly, or Glenn Beck??? 2 scientists under investigation out of the hundreds or thousands of scientists who do research on the subject. I'm still going to put my money behind the scientists.  (Monday Dec 7 | post #55)

Volunteer-run clinic opens in Lebanon

Exactly those people had compassion. Unlike yourself. If you were running this country there would be no hospitals, no libraries, no universities. Do you understand why public hospitals were needed? Because charitable hospitals were giving charitable care which was great, but they were very limited in the services they were able to provide/afford. As for your hard working sob story I am going to have to pull a Joe Wilson and call you out. "LIES!" By the way. I'm a hard worker too, but I also believe I have a moral obligation to society to help those who have not... and this is coming from an athiest. I'm pretty sure you are some greedy pompous christian who thinks they can have everything for themselves and then they are the first to complain when something doesn't go there way and the government isn't able to help. Anyway, maybe someday you will have enough insight to realize that nothing is permanent. Life may be peachy for you now, but sometime down the line you may be asking for government assistance and you will be eating all of your anti government retoric.  (Monday Dec 7 | post #27)

Are you serious? Now you are sounding like some kind of hippy, that is soooo unlike you. Please show us where volunteers and neighbors without government intervention can help people with chronic illnesses and no insurance. By the way, we live in a democracy created by our founding fathers. They created a government. It sounds like you believe this country was founded with some kind of utopian society? Hah. Oh one last thing. Large private charitable groups would not exist if it wasn't for tax exemptions for those who donate. If private charitable groups were the only answer wouldn't be having a conversation about the uninsured. Clearly they can't do it themselves - and private insurance companies haven't helped since their inception. So who is left? Oh that's right. The government. After all that's what it was created for - to represent and help it's people.  (Friday Dec 4 | post #19)

Man-made crisis, not man-made climate

If you think industrial/commerc ial buildings and vehicles are only emitting CO2 you're a moron. I want to know why everyone on the right is so against cleaning up the environment? What is your problem with being more environmentally friendly? That is essentially what all this climate talk is about. There is definately a correlation between pollution and climate change. There is a area the size of texas in the Pacific ocean that is saturated with plastics. If we can pollute an area that large in the ocean you can't tell me that pumping all this CO2 into the atmosphere has no effect on our planet. Get real. The world is not as large as you republicans think it is. By the way, small cooling trends are nothing compared to the overall trend in warming. There is a new article on Drudge today stating that this is still the warmest decade in 1000 years. Man made or not, warming is happening and I don't understand what is so wrong about humans trying to do what they can so we do not add to the overall man made or natural warming that is definately occurring.  (Friday Dec 4 | post #29)

County budget passes; no tax hike

Paul V. Are you serious? That moron cleared the way for a tenth of cornwall borough to be developed. Which is only going to increase the need for public service and taxes. It's also going to increase the need for a new elementary school. Not to mention this is all undeveloped land which borders state gameland. Paul was a disaster for the borough. He also doesn't have a clue how to balance a budget. He was refusing to raise taxes in the borough when they have a huge defecit. I don't think he realizes that the borough won't be able to function if they do not raise taxes and cut more borough jobs. This is why his down vote was defeated.  (Friday Dec 4 | post #4)

Volunteer-run clinic opens in Lebanon

Clearly you must have always had things handed to you. Most young adults who graduate highschool and do not go on to college make an average of 200-300 a week. Most college graduates go on to make 500-600 a week (starting). A large majority of these jobs don't include health insurance. Now if these young adults would like to be independent it is nearly impossible for them to buy their own insurance. Cobra can cost between 400 and 600 a month. Buying decent health insurance on your own at a reasonable cost is unheard of. Most of the cheaper plans offer no D&A treatment or MH treatment, have high co-pays and very large deductibles - this is after you fork over 200-300 a month. This is what is wrong with an employer based health care system. The middle class suffers. Those with health issues will be forced to possibly commit to a job with lower pay just because it has benefits. So what i'm saying is most of these individuals have made the sacrafices you are talking about and they are still unable to afford insurance for themselves if they are going to live indepdnetnly. Perhaps you never rented before or paid any bills because a single person fresh out of high school or college trying to be independent is nearly impossible if you need to buy your own health insurance.  (Friday Dec 4 | post #17)

Man-made crisis, not man-made climate

Regardless of climate change or no climate change this should not change america's stance on pollution. Just because climate change may or may not exist no one can dispute the fact that pollution is not good for the environment or our future. Therefore I still have no problem with Cap and Trade and I believe it is still a great idea to reduce carbon emissions and overall pollution. What Sernoffsky would like to see is no change and more pollution. That's a sad plan for our future children and grandchildren.  (Thursday Dec 3 | post #1)
