Deal Island landmark honors late preacher

Joshua Thomas Chapel is one of the greatest methodist landmarks in North America. Come some sunday morning to St. John's United Methodist Church and enjoy the worship service in the main church and hear the gospel of Jesus preached by Loyad Foard pastor. The service starts at approx 11:15 am.  (Jun 22, 2012 | post #1)

The Severn Mister House i.e. The Bradshaw House on Deal Island is in a National Register Historic Distric. Funding could be available from the Department of Interior. But Somerset County is focused on Princess Anne and Crisfield. Tell your delegate and senator you want this house restored because THE MARYLAND DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES OWNS IT.  (Nov 25, 2010 | post #22)

I guess Rodney Little and Gayle Yerges don't read news stories and but they should because their grant money comes from the state. The house in question is in a National Historic Distric and is the oldest house on Deal Island. Well what will you do with the Brandshaw House...or otherwise called the Severn Mister House...State tuned to this soap opera  (Nov 6, 2010 | post #21)

Planning director found dead

As I sit here on a Sunday Morning before going to church...I think of a great attorney, public servant and dedicated county employee. These things happen in life. Pray for the family, they are great people who love Jesus. Before you make any negative comments think of the family  (Jul 5, 2009 | post #1)

Well the editor must add a final world. 12.5 acres will be bought by the state for Somerset County but the Webster Family will get none of the money.  (Jun 7, 2009 | post #10)

THE SEVERN MISTER HOUSE HAS BEEN FORGOTTEN BY DNR..THEY SHOULD HAVE NOT BOUGHT IT. IT IS THE OLDEST HOUSE OF DEAL ISLAND AND IN A NATIONAL REGISTER HISTORIC DISTRIC. COME ON SOMERSET COUNTY HISTORIC TRUST, MARYLAND HISTORIC TRUST,BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS,DNR...IF IT WAS PEMBERTON HALL,TEAGLE MANSION, OR SOME OTHER HISTORIC HOUSE..THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPEN. THE PEOPLE OF DEAL ISLAND MARYLAND DESERVE BETTER..  (Jan 4, 2009 | post #11)
