Students protest in London

The violent protestors should be identified and refused access to university education, existing students should be expelled and any university staff sacked. Education costs and students should not expect their first few booze fuelled years to be funded by me and other tax payers. I talk from experience, I have seen these kids leave home for the first time and go wild drinking subsidised pints in the Students Union and acting like complete idiots. Everyone has the right to drink and act like a idiot, but they should fund it themselves.  (Dec 10, 2010 | post #26)

Well said. I think this is not such a big issue, more and more women are holding senior positions these days. I reckon Harriet is just trying get media attention, nothing to do with the impending election though....  (Mar 10, 2010 | post #2)

Bid to dump 100 fines on guilty dog owners

I think this is a problem nationwide. in my specific area we don't have a problem, but going further afield there is dog mess. If people won't take responsibility for their dogs toilet habits then they are not responsible enough to live with a dog. If issuing fines is the only way to get people to act responsibly then so be it.  (Mar 8, 2010 | post #2)

Queen's sadness over Afghan deaths

Queenie was as diplomatic as ever, and saying much about nothing. Royalty has lost all respect, and more importantly, power. Gone are the days when 'they' would rule, the royal family is now nothing but a figurehead.  (Dec 25, 2009 | post #3)

Hit-and-run driver can stay in UK

'Human Rights' is making a joke of the law and a joke of civilisation. What about the parents and family, don't they have any 'Human Rights'? The story mentions "But the Iraqi Kurd claimed it was too dangerous to return to his homeland and won the right to stay in Britain". Why is it too dangerous, has he done the same thing there?  (Dec 25, 2009 | post #4)

Should Kraft be allowed to buy Cadburys?

Cadburys is one of Britain's best loved brands. Kraft have launched a £10 billion hostile takeover which Cadburys is fighting against. hershey have not got involved and there is a possibilty that they will make their own bid. So should Kraft keep their hands off 'our' chocolate maker?  (Dec 19, 2009 | post #1)

GM lets Saab die

I think this is terrible. The US government shouldn't have bailed out GM in the first place. They are not capable of running a company properly. SAAB used to make excellent cars until GM took them over, it's been downhill ever since.  (Dec 19, 2009 | post #4)

Quality of life 'higher in south'

Spammers like this pee me off. I've reported it, did you? I agree with you Kernunnos, I moved from Sheffield to Northampton and it is more expensive here. The nearer you get to London, the more expensive it gets...  (Dec 19, 2009 | post #4)
