Creationism/Intelligent Design Dead On Arrival.

Yes it does, but that's not my point. My point is Scientists have come up with certain answers and the Religious community wants to tell them their findings should not be taught because it contradicts their religion. And even when they are ok with it being taught, they want their beliefs taught along side it, but their beliefs are not based on evidence. There is evidence for evolution, there is evidence for the big bang theory. Does this mean these Theories are fact? No, but they have authority, because those theories have been the scientific process being rigorously tested and still continue to be. This does not happen with Creationism/ID. It has not even been accepted into the science community, because there is no science related to any of it.  (May 17, 2013 | post #5)

Driver licence for illegals?

Look at it business wise. Who would you hire? A citizen of whom you have to pay when they have something wrong with them, you have to give them breaks and what not. Ya know treat them like human beings. Or you can hire an illegal. If something goes wrong, fire them or threaten deportation. You can pay them less if you want to. And most importantly actual citizens typically don't want the jobs they fill. Think of illegals as a form of subsidies.  (May 15, 2013 | post #3)

Panthers bailout!

OR they can stop handling their money like a rapper that just got his first check. And no I'm talking the players, I'm talkin the higher ups. People typically don't think management have money issues. I know those guys are making bank on the stadium, so they better use of that money they were gonna use to make their money pile a little higher to do that crap.  (May 15, 2013 | post #6)

Billy Graham - Only God can keep us steady in the midst o...

Um yea, I read the question and read the first part of the answer and immediately stopped. People have been voting on Faith and baseless other crap for years and we have yet to get the representation we want. Here's a novel idea and think it's something everyone can do. Start basing your political and financial decisions on something we like to call REASON. That's right. Instead of hoping and praying something will go right. You look at your situation, evaluate, look at your options, research for more options, pick the best option while also having a back up plan, and execute that plan accordingly. I know it sounds difficult but it's really easy. You should try if you haven't.  (May 15, 2013 | post #4)

Marijuana - Charlotte, NC

Why not? I've smoked plenty of times in college. I'm not addicted to it. The people I smoke with on occasion are still in school and have high GPA's. Higher than mine. I think it's already been proven Weed isn't a gateway drug. We spend more money sending people to jail for it when it's basically a lightweight drug. No one's died from in the history of Weedom. I think the country is ready for it.  (May 15, 2013 | post #100)

Creationism/Intelligent Design Dead On Arrival.

I've been thinking about the scientific process for Creationism/ID. And I find that it's dead on arrival. It fails initially on the 6 questions, Who, What, When, Where, Why, and most importantly How. It fails again on the simple act of testing. Can you test these things, no not all. There is no available evidence that allows us to observe a Designer. As we all know in the scientific method it has stages You ask Questions, Do Background Research, and then you Construct a Hypothesis, and that's about as far it goes, because you can't even for a Scientific Hypothesis with information available. And even if you get passed that stage, you still have to test and we all know that's next to impossible. Dead on Arrival. Why should we teach it to our kids again? Long story short. If you're not a scientist, stop trying to change what Scientists want to teach. Especially if you can't even comprehend basic middle school science, cause that's all I needed to take a dump on the whole C/ID "Theory. "  (May 15, 2013 | post #1)

Obama: US not interfering in Venezuelan election

What you've just said is an exact mirror of America in general. But really Venezuela is important asset to the US. They have a lot of oil, the US has intervened before and they will likely again. Hugo Chavez wasn't perfect, but one thing he did do that no other Venezuelan leader has is improve the countries quality of living and cared for the poor. If you look at Venezuela's history, they have been an big oil country for decades and not a dime ever hit the poor. Hugo Chavez becomes president, the poor eats, they can go to school, college, Hugo Chavez actually printed their constitution on several government products. So this whole notion the people had no freedoms is not true. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he was a great leader, but he actually did something for the people. You can't say the same for previous leaders. So now Venezuela in the hands of 2 types of people, one side are people who are rich and want the old Venezuela back where the few made all the money and the poor had nothing and the second are people who want to improve on what Hugo Chavez had done. One side is backed by US and Europe the other is backed by the people of Venezuela. Seeing how Hugo Chavez won the last election in a landslide I'm confident the people will choose someone who will benefit them and not the rich.  (May 4, 2013 | post #2)

NO ILLEGALS-DRUGS in US!

Hey man free market. Supply and Demand. People wanna get high, let em get high, make some tax dough at the same time. Don't want Crack or Coke? I'll settle for Weed. We can save billions on that alone because we'd then be freeing millions of non-violent offenders who got caught with Weed, the weakest drug you can buy with 0% death count. It's practically legal now. And when it comes to illegals the best way to send them packing, is to change our Foriegn Policy that allows US Corporations to rape Mid and South American countries for resources, not to mention our drug war that is an undeniable failure that's costing us Trillions (that includes hidden costs and externalities). Do those 2 things alone and South America will fix themselves. They will create their own economy based on their needs not US needs.  (Apr 24, 2013 | post #3)

Global Warming

Are electric vehicles eco-friendly?

I think misread you're previous post. When you said "please explain this," I thought you wanted me to explain it to you.  (Apr 21, 2013 | post #16)

Global Warming

Are electric vehicles eco-friendly?

The more cars on the road the slower traffic is. The less cars, the faster traffic is. The reason why it takes most people an hour+ to get to work is because they are joined by thousands of other people trying to get to work at the same time. Now picture this. You take you're car about 3 miles to a tran system, that takes you to the general area of you're employment, you get off, you either walk, bike, or take a bus the rest of the way. The benefit of that is, not only are you getting to work without using a lot of gas, you are getting to work faster, because instead of having 100+ people in front of you going the same way individually, you are with 100+ people going the same way at the same time, stopping a few times for about 10 seconds tops. In Charlotte I can go from the top of the tran system to the bottom in about 30 minutes. That beats the Highway. I do understand not every city has this, not every city has a good public transit system America's in general pales in comparison to Europe's. This method of transport isn't for everybody, but most people can benefit from Public Transport than Private. It's cheaper, safer, and saves time.  (Apr 21, 2013 | post #14)

Global Warming

Are electric vehicles eco-friendly?

I said, neither yes or no, I said it's better than ICE's. I guess if you wanted a definitive answer, "No" would be the correct answer as of now, but in it's perfect form it would be Green. It's pollution would minimal at worst. So you are correct that it's not Green. I have no problem saying that. But our main point is that it's a better option. City folk don't need cars, and with congested roads and crumbling infrastructure, it's impossible to deny this fact. So in a perfect Green world, there would be fewer personal vehicles and more reliance on Public Transport and human powered transport. However in reality EV's or Green alternative Cars are the greenest ways to go for now.  (Apr 20, 2013 | post #10)

Global Warming

Are electric vehicles eco-friendly?

Also it's better to have a lot of pollution from one source than a lot of pollution in multiple sources all over the place. If it's one place, it's easier to control. Not to mention we are still working on Renewable Energy sources. However, even with all of these advantages, one of the major Achilles heel of EV Cars is the material to make them Batteries are conflict materials, and the mining of it has environmental challenges. So it's not 100% Green, but it's still a lot better than ICE's.  (Apr 20, 2013 | post #7)

US Politics

Why are people still choosing sides?

Republican, Democrat, Libertarian etc. It's all BS as of now. All sides suck, every politician in office are paid puppets, saying Obama did this and Bush did that are completely pointless arguments especially since Obama does a lot of what Bush did to the T. Why are we the people fighting each other when we already what the real issues are. It ain't shit to do with welfare queens, the Middle East, Religion, Gay Marriage, or any other pointless issue you think it is. It's people up top. It's the corporations, it's the politicians on all sides, it's anyone who's making a buck off of the average Americans suffering. How about we work together to get money out of politics. That alone will fix 50% of our problems. It will allow us the people to elect better candidates to represent us. How about we agree to legalize weed. Hell it practically is anyway. And by doing that we can release a large majority of our industrial prison complex of whom are non-violent offenders. Why not work together to rely less on Big Industrial businesses and more on our Local Economies. Our Local Economies need help, not Wall Street. And last but not least, lets work together to get our boys home. F*** the Middle, Israel, N.Korea, everybody. Bring em home, and lets fix our home instead of trying to fix others. Lets do this first and then we get back to arguing on who should pay what and when and how, and whether Global Warming is real or whether Bob and Joe from down the block can married because at the end of the day the people up top are the one's F***ing you in the A** more than the gays. F*** Yo Party.  (Apr 15, 2013 | post #1)
