I have been a James Garner fan since the premier of the original Maverick series in 1957 when I was 13. I've been following him and his career ever since. He is a remarkable actor and an even more remarkable person.

And this has what to do with James Garner? This is a James Garner forum, so this is way off topic. Sorry (Wednesday Jul 16 | post #2)
Hey, Rockfish, you can see those ads again on YouTube. Not only the ones with Gigi, but with Jack Garner too. Just as funny after all these years. LOL! (Monday Jul 14 | post #5)
James Garner hospitalized after minor stroke
Yes, Jim is very publicity shy. But, he does understand his fan's concern for him, and does appreciate our well wishes. Please see the post "my dad" on this forum. That was posted by his younger daughter, Gigi Garner. (Saturday Jul 12 | post #8)
Hi Gigi! I can't tell you how happy I am about your Dad. He's been my hero for a VERY long time. :o) I got my info from Mary Ann Rea, through Rob Howe on the Rockford Files group. We have a gift for him, which I don't think she's given him yet. I just can't spoil the surprise... Thank you so much for taking the time to confirm that he's home and doing great. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy. (Thursday Jul 3 | post #3)
Obama disagrees with high court on child rape case
God, you people are sick. Do you think every black is a Muslim and that every Muslim is a terrorist? If you people represent the opinion in the US, we are doomed. (Thursday Jun 26 | post #462)
James Garner hospitalized after minor stroke
Hello everyone. I'm the moderator here, and it is with great happiness that I'm able to report to you that Jim has made a fantastic recovery from what turned out to be a severe stroke. Contrary to reports in the National Enquirer, his speaking abilities were NOT affected; his mind was not affected. He did have some weakness on his left side, but that too is now gone. He is still in rehab, but he is doing great and should be finished soon. I feel that I can speak for Jim in telling all of you how very much your concern is appreciated, and how much it helped. Thanks again for Jim. MorganLvr (Thursday Jun 26 | post #6)
Film depicting enduring love recalls earlier screen romance
It is a truly beautiful story, and very appropriate for James Garner. (Jun 14, 2008 | post #2)
Report From The National Inquirer
I was referring to the more recent report in the Enquirer about his being released from the hospital on May 30, with accompanying discussion of his condition. This is what I've seen no corroboration of from any other source. I DO know that no one who was close to Jim or who cared anything about his feelings would talk about him to this tabloid or any other. If the Enquirer really does have an "insider " they must've paid him/her plenty, and I have no respect for whoever it is. I will post an update on Jim's condition when I get one from a reliable source. (Jun 11, 2008 | post #3)
Report From The National Inquirer
I suppose many have seen the "news" about Jim from the National Inquirer. I've seen other sources quote the Inquirer report, but nothing to independently confirm any of what it said. I am the moderator here, and I will not add anything from the Inquirer unless I have independent confirmation. MorganLvr (Jun 6, 2008 | post #1)

Garner Favorite Customer at LA Diner
Yes, he seems to win the friendship and admiration of everyone he meets. Perhaps people like and respect him because he returns the favor. (Jan 22, 2008 | post #2)
Well, everyone, we've got roboblogger posting stuff that has very little to do with Jim Garner. I don't think there's anything I can do about it - unfortunately. (Jan 19, 2008 | post #2)
