obama elected 44th president

Obama won just like I knew he would. The race was fun even if it was mean spirited at times. I am sooooooo glad McCain didn't win. It would have caused a great deal of turmoil if he had. Thank you everyone who helped Obama win. The vote for Obama was a vote for the future. To those of you who voted for McCain, it's time to let it go and move on. Take care all.  (Nov 5, 2008 | post #3725)

Ferry County, WA

Ferry County homicide victim IDed

I have known Cory Monaghan my entire life. Few words can describe him other than... unpredictable, sometimes mean spirited, confused, and w/o a doubt not loved enough! He did @ times show signs of a caring person but it never seemed to last. His family life growing up was a bloody mess. His father is a good man and I feel for him, However his mother is a completely different story and those who know her know that she probably had something to do with Cory monaghans mental health. I hope the creator goes easy on you Cory, deep down you have good inside, be honest with everyone including yourself, seek forgiveness and in time it will come. Apologize to your family as well as the friends and family of the Karavias' and Littlefields' you owe them that much.  (Nov 4, 2008 | post #20)

Care to elaborate? What exactly is naive about my point? And how does this have anything to do with my being "around much" in this world.?.whatever that is supposed to mean?  (Nov 3, 2008 | post #683)

You want to get rid of all the illegals in this country? OK, round 'em up, toss 'em out. Now raise your hand to take on the following duties in lieu of the illegals: House keeping at motels & hotels: Picking produce from fields and orchards: Dry walling: Painting: Frying chicken at KFC: Washing dishes (nearly every restaraunt): Gathering shopping carts at Wal Mart: etc. etc. etc... Admit it people, you like to complain about illegal aliens, but you won't do anything about it becuase YOU KNOW that they do all the crap work that none of us want to. If (with a straight face) you can volunteer yourself, or one of your family members to take on a menial job that is normally performed by an illegal alien, then by all means, throw them out. But, I'm willing to bet that you wouldn't like to see yourself or someone you care about working in a field, washing dishes, or changing bed sheets for a living, now would you?  (Nov 3, 2008 | post #678)

Gun Sales Booming

I'm an Obama supporter and a gun owner. If there was evidence that Obama supported anti-gun legislation, you can bet that I'd be switching my vote. But, he doesn't support anti-gun legislation, and likely won't as he has much much bigger fish to fry over the next 4 years. Tomorrow night, we'll know who our next president will be...Mr. Obama.  (Nov 3, 2008 | post #671)

Teen shot while stealing McCain signs

Hope of Valdosta, GA - That is a great poem. Too bad it is totally ludicrous and insane. Try looking up the definition of Socialism. Your man McCain voted for the bail-out just like Obama did...FYI. And I'd rather be a socialist than lose more freedoms and spend more money on an illegal war which is what will happen if McCain should happen to pull off the biggest miracle in 2000+ years. The poem did make me laugh though. Thanks!  (Oct 30, 2008 | post #682)

2008 Presidential Election

Teen shot while stealing McCain signs

I know this isn't about a 5 year old, it was merely a counter example to raise a point. This IS about a man shooting a youth for doing nothing more than causing mischief. The kid didn't harm the man, didn't attempt to harm the man, nor did he harm the man's property. The signs are free and provided by the campaign. So you're saying you'd beat a little kid for stealing a free sign from your yard? You're also saying that you'd kill the kid's mother if she came to your house and confronted you about it? There isn't much anyone can say to you to sway your opinion is there? You're obviously a lost-cause mental-case who shouldn't be allowed to walk the streets with ordinary citizens. Best of luck to you, Psycho scott...there is a special place in hell for people like you.  (Oct 30, 2008 | post #672)

Teen shot while stealing McCain signs

Bama Yankee; scott of Sandgap, KY; & Stealing McCain signs - Why don't you answere one of the questions I posed? Would you shoot at a 5 year old? - and/or - How old does a kid have to be before you'll shoot at them? Go on, reveal your true character.  (Oct 30, 2008 | post #665)

2008 Presidential Election

Teen shot while stealing McCain signs

This issue is great because of how revealing it is of true character. If you feel like the teen should have been shot, then you are an idiot, a coward, you're evil, a waste of flesh, and a failure as a human being. If you feel that the teen should not have been shot, and that the man who shot the teen is in the wrong, then you are compassionate, intelligent, understanding, and thoughtful, and you deserve praise. The teen was in the wrong for stealing the sign(s), but his crime is barely punishable by law. It most definitely does NOT warrant being shot at. I agree that if someone breaks into your home and you catch them trying to harm you or your family through theft or violence, then by all means do what it takes to get that person out, or put that person down. BUT, IF you catch a kid in your yard stealing something that didn't cost you a penny, or cost less than a McDonalds cheeseburger, you do NOT have the right to fire your gun at the kid. What if the kid was 10, or 9 etc... How old does a kid need to be for it to be "OK" to shoot at him/her. Would you fire a gun at a 5 year old? I'm willing to bet that most of you who vouch for shooting at the kid wouldn't go through with it anyway. At least I hope that is the case. Common decency prevails in our society, and God willing it will continue to prevail. Of course it could be much more widespread if everyone would live by a simple rule: Do unto others what you would have them do unto you. Take care all.  (Oct 30, 2008 | post #640)

2008 Presidential Election

Teen shot while stealing McCain signs

Since the Religious-Republic an-Right is the moral barometer of this great nation, and are the "real" Americans who know what is best for our country; I pose this question to those of you who represent the RRR: Would Jesus have shot that boy for stealing a sign from his yard? Also: What if the man had shot the boy in the head and killed him? Is stealing a sign from someone's yard worth taking a life? The idiocy and hypocrisy displayed by a great number of republicans is just amazing to me. On one hand you vie for the life of an unborn child through anti-abortionist rhetoric, and on the other you support the death penalty. At one moment you praise the name of Jesus, one of the most prominent symbols of peace, and on the other you agree that a kid should be shot for stealing a sign. Witnessing the bi-polar intellect of some of you simple minded, misguided fools is truly dizzying at times. A social psychologist would have a field day and could even write an entire dissertation on the mental incapability's displayed by some of you on this site. Sorry for the ramble...here it is in simple terms: What would Jesus do? Take care all.  (Oct 29, 2008 | post #289)

Palin: wrong woman, wrong message - Steinem

Wow, prove my point why don't you.!? This debate and topic are about Palin, yet you somehow think it's a good time to rant about a state governor. She has nothing to do with the topic, but your pea sized brain has a hard time realizing it. I am independent. I vote for republicans and democrats alike. I vote for who is the most qualified candidate. Add the qualifications of Obama and Biden then add the qualifications of McCain and Palin. If your dim wit can handle all that complex arithmetic, you'll see that Palin actually subtracts from the experience of McCain. Obama/Biden win hands down when you compare the level of experience they bring to the table. My point must have struck a chord with you thus proving that there's at least some truth to it.  (Oct 21, 2008 | post #18495)

2008 Presidential Election

Palin: wrong woman, wrong message - Steinem

Sarah Palin appeals to the republican masses because they are STUPID. She is stupid, and they see the resemblance, so they are excited to have someone in office whom they can relate to. McCain is an idiot for picking her. Do you think it was his decision? Not likely. He probably had a think tank of idiots comparing all the data they could muster to see who could challenge Obama, and they came up with Palin as the only viable option. It's really too bad that there won't be a worthy contest this election. That makes three in a row for you dumb-ass republicans. First Dubya, then Dubya again, and now Dubya's crony and his female doppelganger (that's a look alike for you moronic repubs). Dubya stole his way into office the last two times, and I'm willing to bet McPalin will too. BUT, and this is a bigger BUT than I'd like to admit, this time, if McPalin and the repubs steal the election again, I really doubt the American people will be so nice about it. You fucked-up idiot republicans will likely have a revolt to deal with. I'll spearhead it myself if I have to. This country, and this world for that matter can not take another dip shit in the white house. The world is already messed up enough as it is. Another low IQ presidency and/or vice presidency will put the whole scene well past the tipping point. Here, I'll explain it in simple terms so the laymen republicans can understand: Sarah Palin = Stupid and unqualified - John McCain = Old, angry, and about to die - Barak Obama = Young, intelligent, inspirational - Joe Biden = Qualified, experienced, knowledgeable The only people NOT voting for Obama/Biden in November are those who are too stupid to see what he can do for the country, too racist to see past their own ignorance, or too stuck in their archaic ways and will be dead of old age soon anyway (god willing)!  (Oct 20, 2008 | post #18271)
