What seems to be lacking here concerning the safety of America's water supplies, is the fact that so many government agencies don't keep us informed of the status of these vital resources. They don't even tell us anything that we can't see for ourselves. Water, as a resource, above everything except air quality, should be on everyone's concern list for our government to secure, insure our safety and prioritize! Hello all I have been reading the posts here for the editors and am glad that I certainly am not alone reading that many of the same issues are being discussed within the topics of this forum. I too agree that posts also should be exclusively from registered posters. If you check almost any responsible site that permits posting, the ones that remain family friendly are those that require preregistration and permit either a moderator or the local editor to ban the abuser. I have run an online newspaper for a number of years and vigilance on this single issue will turn away those prone to abuse, sending them to the forums who permit this foolishness. It is my hope that every editor on Topix encourages Topix administration to enact these reasonable restrictions to keep Topix clean. (Mar 1, 2008 | post #68)

Certainly the editors here at Topix can appreciate your concerns about mixing advertising in with local news. However you may be misunderstanding what local news actually can be. What this editor is obviously trying to convey is an event a newsworthy activity that informs local citizens of something that may be of value to them from the information provided in the article. So while we encourage you to be vigilent in keeping raw advertising off the local news pages, we feel that the article is written in manner consistant with news. Once everyone realizes that the exercise in futility, called "primary " that is currently sweeping both sides of the aisle of registered voters, is merely a sham, it will be too late. For what? Stop the maniacal laughter of the political parties about the joke on the public. Why? The ace in the hole for the political parties to control who will be not only the candidate for President, but also who will be President, are the SUPER DELEGATES. Their vote trumps all the votes of the public, not matter how many people voted. If the public realized this fact, they would drop political parties like some kid putting their hand on a hot stove top and they'd never allow it to happen again! A major change is needed on how America elects politicians and let's not move one, let's solve this criminality! The way you post in your US page is that you have to sign in on your editor page site then be sure that you click on your State page then click editor and finally submit your article.
