Anne Darring is a RINO

Wake Up - both parties are corrupt but when you have such an obviously corrupt candidate, it pays to work against them ...we don't need anymore  (Sep 19, 2013 | post #4)

Anne Darring is a RINO

There is an audio recording of Anne Darring who is running for Galveston County 306th District Court on the Republican Primary March 4, 2014 in which she is making fun of fooling the republicans of Galveston County as well as bashing them and admitting she is a Democrat. Buyer beware, another infiltrator into the GOP party just to get a vote.  (Jul 11, 2013 | post #1)

vote no on the ccisd bond

Clear Lake Area Republicans Oppose Bond Members of the Clear Lake Area Republicans gathered Monday (April 29) at the Harris County Courthouse Annex to pass a resolution opposing the 2013 Clear Creek Independent School District bond referendum. The resolution cites the members’ belief that the bond will provide “funding for wasteful projects above and beyond what is needed for repairs and infrastructure.” Although the resolution cites the need for bonds when “the need for capital improvement is necessary,” it is the belief of the Organization that the additional $367 million increase in debt, which will put CCISD’s debt per resident at $4750 (185% of the state average), is not in the best interest of parents, students, and taxpayers. “We oppose the aggregation of expenditures proposed to be funded by this Bond,” said Clear Lake Area Republican President Daniel McCool. “The voters should have the opportunity to separate those expenditures which are necessary from those that are either unwarranted or unnecessary.” McCool further stated “the voters should have been able to vote on each expense need instead of a combined sum, take it or leave it type vote.” “Do the citizens realize that will be one billion dollars of new debt floated through CCISD Bonds in a little more than a decade? That debt will be shouldered by those children who are supposed to be help by the bonds” McCool said. The vote on the resolution comes at the start of early voting for the bond. Early voting will continue until May 7. Election day is May 11.  (Apr 30, 2013 | post #13)

vote no on the ccisd bond

oh btw...PBK helped that "advisory committee" along with Ann Hammond's campaign manager, Lisa Holbrook. Construction company PBK normally makes 5 to 6 % of the total bond amount...wonder how much Ann and Lisa will make if the bond passes...after all..don't they all sit in on the same boards? Clear Creek Education Foundation and Gulf Coast School Board. Like I said, we're not stupid  (Apr 29, 2013 | post #12)

vote no on the ccisd bond

The fact is that CCISD could have created several bonds to place on the ballot giving the voters a chance to approve those items needed for necessary items vs "the whole shebang" attitude. We're not stupid. We recognize the old attack method of "if you vote against the bond you don't care about the children." Grow up folks, our community cannot afford this bond in its entirety. IF CCISD really cared about the children, they would have given voters a choice, they chose not to. Voted NO today  (Apr 29, 2013 | post #11)

No To Clear Creek School Bond

Did you know that if CCISD bond passes, that CCISD will be the 2nd highest indebtedness in the state? While CCISD is ranked around 30th in size, we will be in the top 2 on debt. Shame on CCISD and their greed.  (Apr 16, 2013 | post #6)
