Hey solution, Why don't you move because you are sadly mis-informed or just one of the liers who thinks its their right to steal from people they have no business ethics they are not honest and they have no class they cost the honest stores on the square business with their lies and deceit and you seem to be the only one who thinks they are doing something right everyone i talk too tells me go to gator pawn because downtown pawn is nothing but liars and thieves in the form of overcharging for item they know are broken without giving full disclosure of the condition its sad lady that you have to come to your own defense because no one else will hey i have a solution you close your shop quit ripping people off and go find a corner to hide in because you said something that i know you the pawn shop person was the only one to know SOON VERY SOON everyone will know of your past indiscretions and it will be made public and not on this page where you can have it taken down it will be from a place that if you want to see me in court it will be an impartial court because getting signed statement of what you have done will let me counter your lies. You Say you ere treated fairly well i guess that makes ou the only one  (May 25, 2013 | post #10)

Leo, I Thank You For Responding and i have been very fortunate to find 2 fender lead guitars made in Fullerton,CA a Lead 1 & A Lead 3 which are 2 of my better sounding guitars so there are gems out there to be found I Have been playing music for the better part of 40 years with numerous bands so i under stand and am sorry if i offended you by thinking you were a pawn shop owner. I just feel broken guitars should be sold at a price that fits their condition and my crime was i told her put some cheap strings and get an allen wrench and straighten the neck some and you can probably get a decentr price so i was thrown out for trying to help her i even offered to give her an old guitar tuner i don't use any longer so she can keep her instruments in tune I am A Luthier and i only work and build on my personal guitars im not looking for any job as she accused me of. The shame of it is she has 2 great guitars that have great potential if fixed but she want full retail plus an extra Hundred dollars for each i just think people need to work together and not try to rob every buyer who walks into their store. I WIsh you Great Success with your music. I Own 2 Gibson Les Pauls A Standard and a Custom Goldtop, A Gibson SG Custom, A 1974 Gibson EDS-1275 Mahogony finish, I Also own 2 Yamaha CPX 15E Model Acoustic Electric Limited editions, A 12 String Alvaraz D12, an American Fender with Texas Pickups along with an original 1955 Gibson simular to the one Gene Autry Played, & 2 Newer Schecter Guitars so i see value in all guitars i just don't tink people have to be robbed to learn the joy of playing music I Own A mesa Boogie Amp and a Marshall Valvstate-2000 so from my equipment i think you can see i am not a novice and it's nice to know that other people understand kids wanting a cheap guitar to learn on shouldn't be mislead by underhanded business owners Kind Regards and Play on My Friend because if we don't who will  (May 18, 2013 | post #7)

Leo, Thanks for your reply and i do understand what you are saying all i am trying to get across is these ladies are getting these broken guitars without strings or with finger tied repair strings for between $25.00 & $50.00 then they price them at $299.00 & $399.00 & won't come down off their price. As for finding Good Guitars from a pawn shop is an art because believe me many great guitarist has pawned guitars at some point in their life. You should know this well because unless i miss my guess you a a pawn shop owner because you sure have spot on pawn prices readily available to use in your post my point is you don't have to rob the buyers to make a living come back to earth and communities will start working together again and maybe we can save some of the values that have made us the good part of this world the true and honest people who still care about other people and not just money. Sure we need money but do we need to rob our neighbor to get what we need or can we work together like people did in the day to assure everyone makes it that is the point i am trying to convey with these reviews and I invite other people to do the same in their communities Just Be Honest  (May 17, 2013 | post #5)

If There is one thing I hate in this world is Business Owners who try to Rip Off The Customers because they are too stupid to see that all they are doing is driving away a possiable long term customer. If they would have only had the decency to treat their Customers with Honesty & Courtesy and Not with Comtempt and Hatred they would have made $700.00 plus tax but these people have no idea what it means to run a business or have business ethics you see my wife has a Masters Degeree in Business From Cal State unlike these two snide little wannabe's who are nothing more than Greedy & Corrupt people. I BET YOUR CHURCH PASTOR IS PROUD OF THE WAY YOU LOVE YOU NEIGHBOR AS YOU WOULD YOURSELF I will be posting videos to a website soon as it is set up so you can see this place and never go there and to the owners thanks for showing your true colours i was going to give you a good review before you went postal and threw us out for telling you the truth. If Anyone had a bad experiance with downtown pawn please post here and i will add it to a new web page i'm starting i will make the name available after i have it secured so no one steals it away and stops me from publishing  (May 15, 2013 | post #2)

This Place is a bad merchant who will go so far as to accuse someone for breaking an already broken Guitar String in order for them to try and charge the store patron for broken strings that they have tied together to make it look as though their guitars are fully strung up. I Was telling the ladies they might fix the guitars properly in order to get the price they are asking for these old used and broken guitars so they can get a better price for the guitars since a few of them were nice but were also broken and had the hardware like Bridges, Pickups, Machine heads, and tone & Volume pots broken or changed for much cheaper ones. After all of this information I gave them they accused me of breaking 2 strings and wanted me to pay them $10.00 for 2 strings that were already broken and retied so the guitars looked strung up. When I tried to pay the $10.00 I asked for a receipt for the 2 broken strings and the lady threw the $10.00 I had handed her onto the ground. Earlier I had suggested that they put new strings on all their guitars and tune them up & have the necks & Bridges set up so people could try the guitars for sound quality and String action which are very important when choosing an Instrument for the sound you want to create. I pointed out the fact that the pickups on the Brown Washburn Electric Guitar were changed to Peavy Pickups and whoever did the job cut some of the body wood to fit the pickup and had never added the Square plastic or metal Pickup Guard to cover the holes in the wood. Some of the guitars there are very nice like they have a Squire Acoustic that has a Beautiful sound and is a nice guitar to play. For someone just starting to play this is a perfect guitar to learn on. They also have on display an Ibanez Acoustic Guitar a Very Beautiful Guitar Except for the fact that the Bridge Is Coming unglued and needs to be removed to fix it properly after the warping of the wood on the face of the guitar is Straightened and properly Braced she is asking $299.00 for the guitar as is and it will cost another $300.00 to fix it properly So Please Buyers warned of the extra cost Involved in the repairs. The Lady Kept coming over and wanting to write a sales ticket for every guitar I looked at. The Fact is I was there to make a purchase of 2 items she had for sale and had only taken the chance to look the guitars over again. When I went over to her gun case to see the Item I wanted to Purchase I was told to leave their store and never return I also wanted to purchase another item from her at a cost of $700.00 for the 2 items, her prices I might add. She told the second lady I was wanting a job with her which I can assure I never wanted She Profiled me because I had long hair I am new to the area and was wearing old torn close what she failed to realize was I had old clothes but a wallet full of money and as for my long hair I donate it to locks of love every 2 years when it get long enough to make wig for kids with cancer. The People at Downtown Pawn Shop #104 Union st, on the Square in Mountain Grove have no business running a store they donít know how to treat people they judge them before they know them. She has other guitars in her shop some are OK and others are a Nightmare In repairs she has 2 bass guitars that look to be in decent shape but I didnít inspect these closely so I canít say if the electronics work on them but whatever you do donít try to tune any of her guitars she may want to charge you $10.00 for 2 strings when a full set of strings cost between $6.00 & $10.00. By The Way If You Want to Purchase these brand and style Guitars you can get the Washburn for $200.00 Factory Refurbished With A Warranty On E-Bay You Also Get the Exact type and Style Ibanez Acoustic Electric Guitar For $175.00 Not Broken Or Warped like the one at the pawn Shop. I am writing this so the good people of Mountain Grove Donít Get Taken in by buying Broken Guitar Equipment in need of work.  (May 15, 2013 | post #1)
