i would like to know why

Coming on here to call someone a great person is basically saying they're not. Any rational person knows there is no way of proving on an anonymous forum who is/isn't a good person, and common sense dictates the ones who have the most to say have the most to hide.  (Dec 10, 2010 | post #92)

rhema church changing thier name to new day

27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at the most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. 28 If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God. 1 Corinthians 14 (New International Version)  (Nov 18, 2010 | post #51)

Why vote for Mcgrath?

Your argument is weak. Some people are born with a predisposition to violence. Some are born with a predisposition to laziness. Are these also moral? Your generalization that all homosexual men are turned on by "some guys hairy butt" proves your ignorance and hidden disdain for homosexuals.  (Nov 5, 2010 | post #59)

Why vote for Mcgrath?

Neither one is a good choice. I say we write in John Boyd!!  (Nov 2, 2010 | post #20)

Why vote for Mcgrath?

The important distinction being that raising a few heifers to sell as a secondary means of income does not constitute the same thing as someone whose entire living is made from agriculture. McGrath tries to pass himself off as the latter.  (Oct 26, 2010 | post #10)

Lowville -vs- S. Lewis Football

BR and Lowville should merge, as should SL and Adirondack. That would make for competitive teams and drive down the cost.  (Oct 26, 2010 | post #6)

Lewis legislators get scary look at budget

There is no "hate", only frustration. The frustration stems from this - almost all the best paying jobs in the area are with the government; and almost every government job in this area pays better than its "private sector" counterpart. The salary of government employees is paid for solely by those who are privately employed; so essentially those of us who work form private companies are paying those who work for the government better than we get paid ourselves. We watch the county budget go up every year because of rising benefit costs while our employers cut our benefits so they can pay the increased taxes to support yours. We watch the unions negotiate more of our tax dollars away in the form of mandatory raises while our employers freeze our pay and talk of cutting their workforce. The government no longer pays a competitive wage, they pay the best wage. The median wage of a male resident in Lewis County is $30,000; the median wage for a female is $21,000. The median wage for a county employee is $35,000. Couple that with the fact the Lewis County Government is the largest employer in the county and do you have any wonder as to why the rest of us are frustrated?  (Oct 26, 2010 | post #38)
