This past week my Dad Oded on heroin and crack and has been in the hospital for a heart attack due to it and Ive realized how great it is to be off the pills. There is so much pain and sufferng with a parent who uses drugs and watching my Dad killing himself with a different form of the same drug taht I was addicted hurt and made me see how important it is to stay clean I am glad Ive progressed. Oh but dont get me wrong the worst part is over, but I still have my cravings when I feind, but I just tell myself I cant and eventually it eases. Oh and Ms Brown remember anything you have a question about mystic or myself should hopefully be able to help you. Its great that the vomiting has eased. I may not be on here everyday because I dont have internet at home, but I work most weekdays so I will respond back quickly and I started this topic so I feel your pain. I am give or take a month clean from all pain pills Oxy was my drug of choice, but I did more percs because of the availability in comparison. Detox is absolutely awful and its different for everybody. I suppose luckily for me I have anxiety problems anyways so all I had to do to get meds for it was go to my doctor and tell them I needed it, no questions asked really because they medicate me anyways. The first week I didnt have my meds and it was the worst anyways and that did not help at all aches and pains, hot flashes, so irretable, worn out it was aboslutely horrible Im just glad I got it over with so I can start my 19th year of life clean from pills about the time my birthday hits next month I should be at two months with no pills :) Glad to have life back. So Ms. Brown, how are you feeling now? I would strongly suggest also that you keep a notebook and write down the symtoms you are having and exactly how the anxiety feels wether it be shaking hands or feeling dizzy and keep up with it. that way you can look back on it and rate your daily pain and see how it progresses through the withdrawl and you could also offer your doctor to read it if you feel comfortable so he can better understand what you are feeling. Ive learned that it is hard to tell a doctor days after an anxiety attack the symtoms and the thoughts you have because you forget about details with time.
