Many people confuse their "faith" with the "business of religion". Some clergy can be so self-centered and hypocritical it can make you question everything they tell their parishoners. That Pastor Osteen is heavily focused on promising wealth and success if his parishoner's faith is strong. It kind of sounds like that whole business of "The Secret". I agree with you. I think he should read up a bit on St Francis of Assisi - I'm not even Catholic and I know about him. To destroy and torture one of God's beautiful creatures just for the joy of it is really an abomination. It doesn't matter what kind of animal. Especially an animal that's been domesticated by humans and learned to trust us. I'm not just saying that because I'm a cat lover - I was enraged about the yard full of dead animals in Montcalm County too recently. Loses a hair? The children I post about are dead. Chewed up by dogs while the mom sleeps nearby, a 4 month old beaten to death and tortured by the mother, and I'm sure there will be more horrible parents to read about in the future with an attitude like yours. You seem take abuse and neglect pretty lightly. Crap doesn't just happen - there is usually someone responsible for the death of a child or animal and they should held accountable.
