Yolo Judge Reinstates Broderick Boys Order

No court order will keep a gangster from going in and out of any area. Are these children really not a 'real' gang? If crime went down then it is not because of the courts telling 29 kids to stay away from a certain area.  (Dec 31, 2007 | post #5)

Manhunt Underway for Omaha Mall Shooter

I have to second that. When mom's leave the child rearing to others, such as day care and schools, what do you expect. The mom should be home raising her children, they are OUR responsibility, yet there are a lot of mom's out there that leave it up to others. If we don't plan on raising our children then we should not have any.  (Dec 5, 2007 | post #18)

Yuba City Woman Charged in Granddaughter's Drowning

This is such a sad story. No I do not know the whole story, but my feelings and experiences are still the same. I care for children for a living, 12 children in ages of 12 months to 3yrs old. Injuries happen that you cannot control, such as running into the wall, falling, or the like. But when you are put in charge of any child it is your responsibility to make sure that child is safe and not fatally in harm. I see so many parents and grandparents that don't take this to heart until it is too late. Any person over the age of 10yrs should have enough common sense to keep a young one safe. Not just from pools, but from running loose, pills, cleaners, knives, and even some people. I agree with the DA and hope that I am never put in this situation. I spend every morning assuring the safety of my charges, it does not cost a dime to make sure things are out of reach of children. A door chime only cost a few bucks and a lock about 10.00.  (Nov 28, 2007 | post #18)

Driver Leads Police on Chase Through Two Counties

Hey maybe 2 seconds after the plates were ran the guy comes out of the store, giving the cop only a second to decide: 1. to get ran over or 2. chase the guy. You never know what the time frame was from when he got the report back and when the thief walks out of the store. It did not say he waited for the thief, it just said when the thief left the store.  (Nov 20, 2007 | post #18)

Sacramento Considers Payday Loan Moratorium

"Their terms are $216.55 a month for 42 months. Total amount of payments for your $2,600 loan....$9,095!! " I did the small payday loans and had an issue paying it back, I could not imagine having to pay 9 thousand for 2,600! Guess the best people to get a loan from is family or a true bank! With decent interest rates.  (Oct 4, 2007 | post #19)

Sacramento Considers Payday Loan Moratorium

"456 percent APR for a two-week payday loan" OUCH! I have had to use a pay day advance a few times over the years, it is a great back up plan. Yes the interest is BIG, but in a time of dire need it helps. I don't believe these places were put here for the use that they have, their survival is proof at how bad we are with our money. The government SHOULD have better things to do other than save us from ourselves, maybe they would like to loan me some money??? LOL  (Oct 3, 2007 | post #14)
