Thrip (Corn Lice)

OK Fred/Lotus, one point to you. Its not thrips (explained in my thread).  (Jun 8, 2013 | post #15)

malathion... possible cure

OK... now for some more news. It isn't thrips, just something that looks similar (~1-2mm length) with similar characteristics (legs at front section). Apparently they simply can't survive without plant material. Darn. I just wanted it ID'ed definitely. Well whatever it is, its responding to the Malathion more than the permethrin. I'm going to obtain a much better camera and as distasteful as it is, take more photos. Ugh. Can't stand photos of bugs. But if I want to know exactly what it is and the best way to treat, its gotta be done...  (Jun 8, 2013 | post #23)

Morgellons and Lyme from mite infections

Oh Fred, what a coincidence you're posting at the same time as vss. Who would have thought. What material to read are we referring to?  (Jun 4, 2013 | post #73)

No, I insist, YOU can be King/Queen of the scabies forums. Its obviously very important to you.  (Jun 4, 2013 | post #1470)

Got it. VSS, you're Fred. It figures that he would be his own nemesis, cloaking anger and hatred over thinly-disguised compliments. Plus it would engender empathy.  (Jun 4, 2013 | post #70)

...and I suspect that many before you have challenged Fred long before today and well after my recent hiatus from the boards. In spite of his tenacity he's not exactly endearing to many of the boardies. You know, it may not just be all about you vss. But one thing I will say is that I'm so happy after discovering that Malathion will kill my mites, I'm even willing to extend to you the metaphorical olive branch. Life is great after today and you can't spoil it. But you're welcome to knock yourself out trying :)  (Jun 4, 2013 | post #1468)

My Ivermectin Treatment Story

Oh dear, thank you for attributing the story to myself, as always, but UK2 was here long before I ever started on these forums, long before I discovered them. But I'm flattered that you think I knew so much about the world and art and politics to pose as someone far more experienced in life than myself (in reality just a girl from the burbs in Oz). As for Fred, even though we disagree vehemently I have always acknowledged his extensive research and tenacity. Where did you challenge him- which thread.  (Jun 4, 2013 | post #1467)

My Ivermectin Treatment Story

Did anyone ever hear of UK2 again? His later postings seemed not to be quite like "him" for want of a better way of describing them, almost like being run through Goggle translate. Were we duped? I sincerely hope not as a lot of us were quite worried. Hi to Hope also.... as for myself am on the mend now. Not cured but on the way.  (Jun 4, 2013 | post #1464)

D. Gallinae - bird/poultry mites

Now fairly sure it was thrips, as they have several stages of their life cycle and can often be mistaken for D Gallinae in the early stages. Either that, or the D Gallinae were eradicated earlier on in the piece and the pheremonal reaction caused thrips infestation.  (Jun 4, 2013 | post #6)

I really think it is at Epidemic if not Pandemic levels

You know, Australia has something like the CDC. Local pharmacists (more knowledgable than the doctors for some reason) all say that its increasing along with lice. Am going to try to find the name of our national equivalent.  (Mar 20, 2013 | post #20)

Scabies and kids. Not a good combo!

Trying to imagine you washing and drying and cleaning and freezing and treating everyone including the dogs. Supermum!  (Mar 20, 2013 | post #25)

np, it took half an hour just to find out how to contact them (can imagine they receive a fair few emails) so I am hoping but don't have high expectation just yet. Jodyy, thanx for the credit of us being "in cahoots"- barely have time for real life let alone being the protagonist of a conspiracy. So what if we keep this thread going- thats what forums are for- threads. And yes, I believe that UK2 is a real person undergoing unimaginable stress. And though unlikely, people have died from the complications of infestations before. He doesn't have scabies.  (Mar 20, 2013 | post #1400)

Support Thread

Hi everyone, have been away for a few weeks due to internet issues after the move. Still treating. Using perm cream, 96% surgical spirit/alcohol, doxycycline, EDP antiseptic powder, borax, mortein/raid. Felt that I was cured about 3 weeks ago, but turned out to be false alarm before re-hatching. These things run deep. Need to get back onto iver to use in conjunction with these menaces. I see there's been a few fun and games here in the support thread. Welcome to all of the newbies. The frustration with this disease sometimes causes the natives to go a bit feral. Please don't feed the animals. And Fred, leave it alone or you'll go blind.  (Mar 19, 2013 | post #434)
