Vikings' Plan B at quarterback for 2010: Tarvaris Jackson...
Yeah cuz a rookie could come in here and lead this team to Super Bowl better then Favre and Jackson could (Mar 24, 2010 | post #12)
Vikings LB Jasper Brinkley talks about possible return or...
He may not even be able to return at all this season. That type of injury takes a long time. (Mar 13, 2010 | post #2)

If Tebow is still on the board when we select we should snatch him up. Your thoughts (Mar 9, 2010 | post #35)

Ok lets assume Favre returns. And the staff say we"re going after a qb in the draft. Automatically Sage gets the boot before Jackson for 2 reasons. #1 Jackson beat him. #2 salary cap. Still asumming Favre is here and we"ve drafted a qb, Jackson still has the edge over Delhomme cuz he knows the the system better and the players. It's not worth the risk to cut Jackson under the assumption Delhomme could come in here out perform Jackson when this system, coaches and players is all he knows. Lets give Jackson the benifet of the doubt as bad as it hurts. He was inexperienced and he had Troy Williamson, Bobby Wade and Rice was either a rookie or injured to throw to. Bottom line... the wr's are better and Jackson has plenty experience now to make it work. But sure lets draft a QB. Why not (Mar 8, 2010 | post #34)

Ok did you see the year Delhomme just had? We need a left Tackle? Ok WHO? We need a Right Guard too (Mar 7, 2010 | post #20)

So what is your call on this whole situation. Sage and a rookie? What other options are on the table (Mar 6, 2010 | post #15)

When Tevaris was starting the wr's were nothing. Rice and Shiancoe were not what they are now. Rice was injured and Shiancoe was droppingf balls still. But it paid out eventually. So lets see what a healthy Jackson can do with 4 years experience with 1 of those behind the greatest to pass the ball ever. Who else could come in here and learn the offense and compete? Who. We are a Super Bowl contending team. We cant afford to roll the dice on just some vet qb who hasnt read our play book or even played with our guys the way Jackson has. Not to mention a rookie qb either. Face it . If Favre hangs it up, Jackson is the best qb to lead this team and even the players will tell you that (Mar 6, 2010 | post #13)

Jackson was able to see what the offense is capable of behind Brett. Add that with the combination of looking at the playbook after 3 seasons. I think the wheels are starting to turn for him. When I played football I played defensive end my first year and lb the next. Big difference right? Before coach said use my speed and power to rush the qb. Now he was asking me to sit back and make a dicision to rush the qb, follow the rb or break out after a wr. Needless to say it didn't work out right away. So coach benched me. Got to watch a couple a games. But then I hungry cuz I knew I could make those plays just as well as the next guy and probly better. I know Jackson is wanting so bad to toss some to Rice and Shiancoe. Favre was sacked more than any other qb this year right. That wont happen to Jackson. He has great arm strength and legs. I think his 4 years of experience now, plus the fact he was able to see what the offense is capable of, his decision making skills are better and should be evident this year or next (Mar 6, 2010 | post #12)

Just like you say though......Jackson hasn't been given a full year yet. Lets give him one full season after Favre retires and than cut him if doesnt work out (Mar 6, 2010 | post #9)
Report: Vikings lose Chester Taylor to Bears, meaning Min...
Yeah highly unlikely. But If we called Brett around training camp and said "We're ready when you are. Oh by the way Randy is here and would like to talk to you soon as possible" Brett would would fly coach to get here LOL (Mar 6, 2010 | post #124)
Still have a draft to work with. But I see your point. We need players like him behind the starters. (Mar 6, 2010 | post #2)

So what do you think of my trade to bring back Moss? Favre would love it and could never say no (Mar 6, 2010 | post #122)
