Perhaps Saigon is really being criticized because it has been active in opposing the Holy Central Corridor Light Rail line.  (Mar 10, 2011 | post #9)

Shooter Now: Gophers seek younger audience with radio moves

If they really were after a younger audience they'd just do the games on Twitter. This would also provide about as much detail as the fans can stand given the embarrassing state of the three big programs.  (Mar 9, 2011 | post #22)

Target, Lady Gaga end deal to sell CD in stores

What a maroon. Target has been one of the most progressive and gay-friendly employers in Minnesota, if not the U.S. Their contribution to the candidate was for his pro-business policies, not his so-called "anti-gay " beliefs (which would have had limited application in the governor's office anyway). GaGa is about as deep as a dog dish.  (Mar 9, 2011 | post #27)

Can't find a parking spot? Get a hybrid ... or a baby.

The fact of the matter is that there is usually all kinds of parking available at my local library; it's not visited as much as it could or should be. Further, with more research resources and library books becoming available online every day there are fewer reasons to make the trip (which really saves on fuel). If the library wants to start playing games with its all-too-available parking spots it will antagonize the majority of its "customers " to benefit a few and the result will be that eventually no one will have any trouble finding a spot close to the door, regardless of how it is labeled. Btw, I've been a regular user of my library for 14 years but so far this year I've checked out half a dozen books, and all have been e-books via the Overdrive app.  (Mar 2, 2011 | post #202)

Can't find a parking spot? Get a hybrid ... or a baby.

The first time I come to a public library or a store that has preferred signs for hybrds, I will be parking my non-hybrid vehicle right in that very spot. The second time I go to that place...well, there won't be a second time, as I'll be taking my business elsewhere.  (Mar 2, 2011 | post #174)

Driver hurt in U.S. 52 bridge plunge

There's a hill leading down to that bridge when you're coming from the WSP/SSP side of the river. A couple of years ago my nephew spun on ice and ended up hanging with his front wheels over the guardrail, again thanks to the ramp of snow piled up. Another time my wife and I watched a car in front of us start to spin without warning down the hill and finally straighten out in the middle of the bridge, fortunately without hitting anyone else. We eased down the hill behind them and stopped to see if everyone was alright. They were, thank God, but they were pretty shaken - as were my wife and I just from watching it happen! There wasn't any recklessness - but if you hit black ice everything can change in just one moment and there's barely any margin for error on the Lafayette bridge.  (Dec 14, 2010 | post #84)
