Updated 9/24: A new deal for Park Ridge's New Deal mural
1 thing I still wonder. How come he waited so long to donate it and why he didn't give it to the library or even the city hall at the time he took it down? (Friday Sep 26 | post #1)

What was going on in Naperville today with so many streets blocked off? I obviously don't live there and rarely go out that way. (Sep 1, 2008 | post #1)

Niles mayor resigns as trial looms on tax, mail-fraud charges
It never ceases to amaze me how one would risk doing something like this especially being in office for so long. And don't say he didn't think he'd get caught, I'm sure we all know that but there are enough people like him over the years who've thought like him and so and so happens. (Aug 29, 2008 | post #42)

The Park Ridge Christian contradiction
I don't think it's a case of thinking PR homeless are different but heliping those that are nearby is better than bringing in so many where it's harder to keep and eye on those who are more troublesome. If every town or neighborhood helps out their own then maybe no onw will have to worry about burdening other places with more than they can handle. (Jul 23, 2008 | post #65)

PADS shelter proposal not welcomed by some Park Ridge residents
Well here's something I gotta ask those who are so disturbed by PR residents objected to this move? What would be the logic of brining them here when there's probably places where they come from that may very well have the resources to help them out? 1 thing that many are concerned about is the homeless comming in uncontroled by means not watching out for those who are distrurbed in some way orcleaning them up and making them more presentable. Now saying that I myself don't assume all homeless are disturbed and some may not be a problem but if the church and these organizations do not take control of those who are not well off then we're in trouble. Some of those who suffer with some kind of addictions or are mentally ill should be institutionalized. But if they're not going to mannage the situation well which maybe why some are against a PADS shelter here. (Jun 20, 2008 | post #118)
