Mankato man uses martial arts to rescue woman being attac...

I know about 15 pit bulls personally (2 live in my house, not mine) that would lick your face off and never consider biting. It's all about the owners and how they are trained, or lack therof. Both Pitts and Rotties are powerful animals, but they are also very smart dogs who are fantastic with kids if in the right homes. Blame the idiot owners, not the dogs. In this case, the dogs attacked someone and having them euthanized should be an option for the victim. The owners should face criminal charges. That said, Nice Job Community Kung-Fu Guy!  (Aug 21, 2009 | post #7)

Browns' Eric Mangini: Opener vs. Minnesota Vikings' Brett...

just glad we don't have to hear from that fool rosencopter/rosenf lyer/rosenmoron anymore for a bit. Comparing Favres season in NY to this year makes no sense anyway. We have a way better OLine, running game, and defense then the Jets did last season. Two different teams. Not to mention the injury.... Apples, Oranges, etc...et al.  (Aug 19, 2009 | post #15)

wondered who was going to make the first gump reference. only took 3 posts. (claps for smb) Keep running and stay away from PED's, maybe a couple gold medals in your future.  (Aug 17, 2009 | post #7)

Minnesota Timberwolves trade Quentin Richardson to Miami ...

Fantasy....a Twolves drop running on KFAN states "this team may not play very well, but they will play hard this year" and that was a quote from Kahn....I would say ownership has been right upfront about their expectations this season. If you are going to games this year with the expectation of this team actually competing in the West...time to check your hopes at the door. This is a complete tear-down of the most dysfunctional basketball team in the NBA from top to bottom. Q isn't an answer to anything, it's good they moved him. He's not going to help young guys develop (except maybe their bong smoking skills) and they saved about 1.5mil on the books. Love and Jefferson is a nice core, Flynn could be something and Rubio is an asset that other teams covet, whether they say it publicly or not. This season is a wash, and the groundwork for the future is being laid now.  (Aug 14, 2009 | post #14)

Minnesota Vikings' Chester Taylor transitions to third-do...

Chester could definitely start for a number of teams in the NFL. Which also means he could be paid like a number one back. The fact that he is always a team player and does whatever the team asks of him, all while never griping about money or playing time...just says a lot about the guy. We're lucky to have him on our team. As stated above, one of the most under appreciated Klink moves. If they don't trade him for value when his contract is nearing the end, I hope they step up and pay him well enough to end his career as a Viking. He's a class act all around, and a great football player.  (Aug 11, 2009 | post #12)

Vikings' Visanthe Shiancoe catching a new rep

Shankster is gonna step it up one more notch this year. I hope he gets in a groove with Sage or TJ or whoever runs the offense. They way defenses key on AllDay at the line, he should be able to catch a lot of balls down the seam or behind the linebackers. We have a good team this year. The pressure is really on our QB's to perform, I wish the fans would be a little more supportive and a little less downright hateful. But the vitriol usually has a valid point. My glass is half full....  (Aug 6, 2009 | post #9)

Lake House in Forest Lake calls it quits

I don't know about all the political ramifications, but I do know the Lake House had the best smoked turkey wild rice soup I ever had to pleasure to eat. Ever. Shame.  (Aug 5, 2009 | post #11)

Minnesota Vikings' Darrell Bevell explains his pursuit of...

Housh was on sirius radio awhile back explaining why he didn't come to the vikes. he said it was because we didn't have a clear cut number 1 QB. He would have been fine with Tjack if "that was our guy" and we were rolling with him. thats the reason he gave publicly anyway. Not really all that funny, re: berrians tweets.  (Aug 2, 2009 | post #2)

Could the Minnesota Vikings turn to Michael Vick?

it was only a matter of time before Vick was mentioned. I can't see Chilly diving into those waters, but he drafted Percy Harvin with his character "issues" and surprised me once. Who knows. This season is already starting out weird, why not make it weirder?  (Jul 29, 2009 | post #2)

A funny thing happened on the way to the altar

Church isn't always a place to be quiet and reflective and somber. It's also a place to celebrate the gift of life. Each to their own.  (Jul 25, 2009 | post #34)

jpberka you're just right on. I can't believe the negative comments, it's just hilarious. You just can't justify, to me, having one bad thing to say about this video. Looks like a fun wedding with fun people. Best of luck to the bride and groom!  (Jul 25, 2009 | post #33)

Settlement apparently reached in Mankato drinking death t...

Bars have licenses to sell alcohol, and part of that ownership license is a responsibility to the customer. It's laughable to a point, because whether or not someone is visibly intoxicated is very subjective. Obviously it's easy to say she is the one who is responsible for what she put in body. But whats the point of laws if the bars don't have to abide by them at all? Sad story of course. People binge drink all the time, in bars, at home, at houseparties, out on the lakes...sometimes there are sad consequences.  (Jul 24, 2009 | post #12)

Apple Valley couple knows what hit them, but now how, or why

I would look first at overpasses. Like some others, I once had some kids drop a large chunk of concrete off an overpass that went straight through my windshield into the passenger seat. Thank God I was driving alone, my girl would have been seriously hurt if she was along. and 11 pound chunk of iron isn't something that just falls off a truck and nobody notices. Especially if it's a leaf spring from a dumptruck. Unless it fell out of a scrap metal truck....sounds malicious to me.  (Jul 16, 2009 | post #15)

Granddaughter, 21, charged with making prank phone calls ...

These girls won't go to prison, Sarah D...come on. They'll be charged with stupidity in the end, do some community service and get probation for awhile. I live near cambridge, and while it pretty boring out here in the sticks, I've never so bored that I've thought of calling my family 45 times in one night to tell them they will die. Somehow, I think meth or booze will end up as the cause of this story.  (Jul 5, 2009 | post #7)
