Bottom line is if ANY organization or business in Albuquerque had given us as many felons like murderers, drug dealers, rapists, child molesters, wife killers, step-father killers, insurance-fraudste rs, etc. and a large amount of misdemeanors like drunk drivers, the Nuisance Abatement Team or Safe City Strike Force would be taking that organization to Court, bulldozing their place of business, selling it to developers and running the CEOs of that business out of town. It's a good thing that the Nuisance Abatement Team and the Safe City Strike Force BOTH work for Albuquerque P.D., huh?  (Jul 17, 2012 | post #14)

Almost EVERY service organization, especially military and paramilitary like police and sheriffs departments, have a conduct clause where it states you can be fired for conduct that is inappropriate, or gives "the appearance of impropriety". If they wanted to fire this THUG they would. It's a matter of all these corrupt, law-breaking THUGS that work for New Mexico law enforcement agencies serving and protecting each other. Just like that robbery where an Alon/Fast Food Store clerk was killed. If that had been an ordinary criminal, they would have had his or her image on every telescreen in New Mexico. They haven't released anything because the killer is probably AN INFORMANT for Albuquerque PD or BCSO, or worse, he or she may be a cop in one of those two agencies. CornDogz: The medal awarding process has been corrupted for a long time. Just read the Journal from time to time and see the Air Force awarding silver stars and bronze stars to officers merely for completing the overall projects they were duty-bound to complete! With absolutely no heroics involved. Elsewhere, even at the time of the Viet-Nam era we have seen the silver star awarded to airmen for running up to a burning helicopter, assessing that there was nothing that could be done to rescue anyone (they had all been KIA, sadly) and then the Air Force awards the silver star not to the deceased, but to the guys that ran up to the helicopter and just stood around watching it burn once they realized there was nothing to be done. One of them is an Albuquerque Police officer living in Tijeras, NM. PTSD and the Purple Heart. PTSD is a PSYCHIC WOUND. It's not as easily faked as you claim it is and the VA makes veterans go through hell before pronouncing in an award. In my own case, though there was traumatic brain injury, broken bones, wounds, arthritis of the neck and shoulders as a direct and proximate result of those injuries and wounds, the VA chose to award 100% disability based on PTSD because IT REQUIRED THE LEAST AMOUNT OF ADMINISTRATIVE WORK ON THEIR PART. Many times they act like this not because they've been fooled, but because it cuts the time of their adjudication people in evaluating, writing up, etc. the decisions to claim. A lot of veterans who've been awarded 100% disability based on PTSD, have other compensable disabilities which often add up or would exceed the 100% from the PTSD. Don't look at the military for justice. In the case of Americans who are wounded, while serving in combat zones, by Muslims within their own ranks, a Purple Heart is denied because the wounds and injuries were not as a result of "hostile enemy action". SWAT Standoff Continues On 67th Street SW: APD Man In SW...

This is another story attesting to how cheap life is in Albuquerque and Albuquerque PD over-reaction to situations. A man was throwing rocks at cars and overturning garbage cans. We KNOW that. OK, that's disorderly conduct, malicious mischief, etc., misdemeanors. A neighbor says she was threatened with a gun-we don't know that, and we all know people often lie the way that woman lied when she told APD that a man was holding her hostage and he had a gun. He was not holding her hostage, and he had a big, black kitchen spoon. That didn't happen that long ago. So the guy, who is probably either mentally-ill, drunk or sleep deprived, retreats to his home in fear- Albuquerque media help set the public's mindset by describing what he did as "barricading " himself in his home-because someone's told him the APD SWAT Unit was on its way. The SWAT Unit! Not the Crisis Intervention Team, but the SWAT Unit. Anyway, not to belabor a point, any other city would have written up summonses and mailed them to the guy. Then if he failed to appear in court, a bench warrant would have been issued. Albuquerque calls in the SWAT Unit, which almost never has a happy ending in Albuquerque. So, we have our story for the apologetic Albuquerque TV news media. Man throws rocks, overturns garbage cans (we know for sure), APD SWAT Unit called, man ends up dead. Makes sense in Albuquerque. Lone nut committing misdemeanors in your neighborhood? No sweat! Call in the SWAT Unit. No charges, no trial, no sentence, go right to the death penalty aspect and go for the death of the nut. We have plenty of nuts in Albuquerque- what's one less, eh? How are those trials of Tank Guenther, Albuquerque PD officer who raped his own 13 year old niece for years, and Levi Chavez, who murdered his wife and with the help of his buddies tried to make it look like suicide going? Isn't it 3 or 4 years that have passed and still no arrests and no trials? We gotta be patient for THOSE guys- it's not like they were throwing rocks and overturning garbage cans!  (Jun 22, 2012 | post #1)
