NOVEMBER is National American Indian Heritage Month (The History)
One Friday morning in the spring of 1990, Pale Moon (President of AIHF), Dr. WIl Rose (CEO) and Mr Oliver Abrams (AIHF Board Member) after attending the American Indian Prayer Breakfast at the U.S. Capitol, met with Congressman Eni Faleomaveaga in his office. Pale Moon laid out her plan to him. He agreed it was not only a great idea but long overdue. Michael W. Riley, music friend, guru (Friend of Bob Dylan & The Rolling Stones)
CLIFTON - The music stopped for Michael William Riley on June 25 when he died from a stroke at his home here. He was 60. But tributes continue to roll in from a range of friends, including the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan. "I'm burning up two remote phones. It just hasn't stopped," said longtime friend Tebbe Farrell of North Avondale. Farrell said Mr. Riley's friends will gather for a tribute concert in Cincinnati in October. "He was a joy in every one of his family members' lives. And what a kind-hearted, sweet man he was," said his sister Julina T. Riley of the West End. Mr. Riley, born in Covington, was described as a music genius and a guru. He was a record-store manager and a WAIF disc jockey whose shows included "The Danceable Solution," "Roswell Radio" and "Mekon Radio." He worked at Mole's Records in Clifton for more than 20 years and also managed Buzz Records in Clifton while working at Bogart's, Farrell said. She estimated that he saw the Rolling Stones at least 35 times, and said he treasured a picture of himself with Stones guitarist Keith Richards. Rick Roberts of Oakley is a friend and former owner of Wizards Records in Oakley. "I've known Michael Riley since 1979," Roberts said. "Mike's best attribute was that he didn't see himself as a music guru. He was just Mike - a man who truly enjoyed life." Farrell said Mr. Riley was often called by friends with music questions. "The manager of the Rolling Stones used to call him for research," she said. Mr. Riley "was a human encyclopedia of music, really well known and loved." In addition to his sister, survivors include his mother, Billie Frances Riley of the West End; a brother, Edward J. Riley of Arlington, Va.; and four other sisters, Kathleen F. Stacy of Stout, Ohio, Estelle M. Riley of Northside, Clare S. Klose of Dalton, Mass., and Carolyn B. Riley of Clifton. Services have been held. Western Men & Filipina Spouses Age Difference
My relationship with my wife is as classic as any other, I feel the longer you chat with eachother and often, the closer you get over time. Even before I met her, I loved her... I knew there was a possibility we wouldnt have the physical chemistry and I discussed it with her before we met so we were both on the same page when we finally met. When we did meet, it was awkward yet exciting, embarrassing yet worthwhile. Im so glad I spent the time to learn all about her before I met her because I feel that the sexual tension people often feel when they first meet wasnt there, We were nervous to be with each other but I felt like I was totally comfortable with her and I had nothing to prove. Men should only chat with one woman before he goes to meet her and then go with the plan of making a commitment to her, or he shouldn't go at all. Men should treat these women with respect as well as their families. When Western Men/American Men go to the Philippines to meet a woman, he represents our Socially developed society and if he is seen as disrespectful or obnoxious and arrogant, he makes the rest of us look very bad. I suggest that everyone take their time to develop a deep appreciation for each other before you meet and dont go to meet unless you are serious about marriage. (Mar 1, 2009 | post #232)

The problem is that its hard to get someone banned... Its difficult to get someone removed. Our Freedom of Speech is often abused by a select few, its the 1 bad apple that can spoil the whole bunch. I have found it better to leave the sick ones alone. Comment on the positive and remember that everyone has a right to his or her opinion. I had a boss that monitored a blog on her website, she would remove any comments that didnt fit her idealogical views. She only wanted people to agree with her. I dont know whats better (or worse), Letting people speak or shutting them up? I sometimes tell friends or family to look at this poll to see the age differences as it develops, but then I find myself appologizing for some of the idiotic comments posted here. I was hoping this poll would benefit those of us that voted and encourage some men/women that are affected by this unique public opinion. (Feb 16, 2009 | post #203)

Wow ~ Good for you! Congratulations on your 18 years of marriage! Dont worry about some negative comments people make here, maybe they were hurt in a prior relationship, maybe they havent experienced a loving relationship like you have. Consider yourself Blessed if you have someone that loves you! (Feb 16, 2009 | post #198)
Western Men & Filipina Spouses Age Difference
Hahaha ~ I am the real Michael Rose, and those were not my comments. Maybe I upset someone in an earlier posting and they are using my name. If you look at their profile, they are hiding their true identity. If you notice, most people here who make negative comments are secretive about themselves because its easy to put down others when you can do it behind a cloak of annonimity. I married a Filipina Woman 20 years younger than me. We feel so comfortable with each other and our age difference is meaningless. I started this topic hoping to encourage others of like mind to open up about the topic and share experiences about our age differences and its lack of relevance. It appears that the people this topic affects least, have the most to say about it. Unfortunately, when someone makes comments here, no matter how wrong, hateful or irrelevant the comment is, it cant be removed. Be careful what is said here, its permeanant.
