Committee member is off to poor start

Thanks Paul. Give me a call when you are in town for that beer.  (Jul 23, 2008 | post #24)

Wow, you guys are great. No I am not my supporters. I know Curly and maybe Carlos but not the others. I am still waiting for Paul to show up at Dawson's to have that beer. Maybe I can introduce you to some other "real" people who are as real as you. I find it odd that Paul is putting me down for a yard that more than likely mimics his own "au natural" one in Coarsegold. I doubt that his landscape is anything less than rustic. As for the cement mixer, do I make derogatory comments about you driving that gas guzzling clunker old truck of yours? I believe in freedom of choice just as you do. I also am perplexed that anyone who shows himself on his website holding two shotguns while appearing in his underwear believes he is a valid judge of sanity. I choose to be less judgemental as I realize the method to his madness. The underlying factor that you are missing is what was espoused by Curly Red. She exhorts us to get involved in government, much as Mark Levine or Michael Savage might propose. The result of doing so? Unless you fit the mold of the status quo and never question anything being pushed by the bureaucrats, you are quickly labeled a radical with crackpot ideas. The only problem is that you can't refute facts. When I argue with them, including Mr. Salmons, I am always armed to the teeth. Maybe that is why they hate me so. The only reason I have never been elected to public office is because, although many in the community agree with me, they don't like my approach. I have had to explain to many that these people won't listen any way so you might as well be sure you have their attention. Again I am successful in that endeavor. My comment to "ANANOMOUS " is I am very out spoken, not just a little, and I always listen. I don't claim to represent everyone in the community as that is impossible due to diverse opinions. I represent those who believe in personal freedom, self accountability, and self responsibility. I believe you should be able to determine your own future and it is not my job to do so for you. That is why I oppose most of the ridiculous rules and regulations emanating from our council. As the economy is in a tailspin and as the value of our homes is still considerably more than it was 15 years ago, the resale value of homes argument doesn't exactly hold water. This is exactly like saying global warming is being caused by the miniscule amount of hydrocarbons from SUV's when the overwhelming impact is contributable to the sun's solar spot cycle.  (Jul 23, 2008 | post #21)

Whack job? You couldn't outthink me if I was in a coma. And I offered to let you guys take up a collection to move me out of town. According to John Waterman, only $17 and change was collected. Guess you didn't want me to leave all that badly. Housing is cheaper now. Maybe you should try a little harder this time? The point all you bozos miss is that I am doing the job that your councils and leaders have failed to do for you all these years. I don't simply accept what is proposed. I ask why and then question the logic based on facts. This doesn't work for the morons you have hired who think we must do what they say just because they say it. That is why you almost paid $40 million in increased sewer fees for an unnecessary project that would have solved nothing. I don't want or need to be patted on the back for what I have done. I don't want your accolades. I don't even want to be on the council. But I won't put up with imbeciles who want to take away more of our personal freedoms and who don't even know basic economics. The fact is you and your kind have lost and continue to lose. That is what precipitated Salmons' letter and what is grinding in your craw. You are getting exactly what you deserve. So is my neighbor and so are the everyday citizens in our town. It certainly isn't one size fits all...  (Jul 23, 2008 | post #10)

Max is less of a parrot than he is a long earred member of the equine family. Frankly, I don't give a damn what many whisper about me behind my back. Having an opinion while being dumb as a rock somehow doesn't engender credibility. The fact of the matter is that Mr. Salmons' letter was full of baseless accusations that can be negated by listening to the audio tape of that meeting. I did not mention the apartments "out of the blue" as he states but specifically because I could not believe that you could re-zone land that has already been developed. This was in response to Dave Dowswell's assertion that we could give a different land use designation to the parcel which currently holds Jack in the Box on Dorset Ct. Salmons came in late and I had already used the example of the apartments once and was asking for further clarification. As for his points of opposing the apartments at every location Salmons and his staff proposed, he is correct. I also opposed the other projects on the basis of not being appropriate at their given sites. I challenge you to use the balconies at Lincoln Creek overlooking the freeway and put up with noise levels of 85 decibels. The same goes for the Kaufman and Broad homes where you can't even hear a conversation because of the noise outside. Now that's what I call living. The only real reason that Salmons wrote this letter is because of his animosity toward any one who would oppose what he considers his achievements. Considering that the majority of the people in Dixon voted down his crown jewel of Dixon Downs, it is no wonder he attacked. He knows that the thinking people in Dixon can actually undo some of the nonsense he has done. As for my yard, it is maintained in the fashion necessary to achieve my goal. Obviously, that too has been successful. I especially like the cement mixer which has become yard art ...  (Jul 23, 2008 | post #9)
