Cheap Scooters-which one to buy?

I get this question all the time. I would say yes, and no. The quality is lower.... but then again it all comes down to what you have to spend for a scooter. Most of the time when your out shopping for a scooter. Most scooter dealers will offer you a warranty on the scooter. Basically this warranty covers the engine parts only (for that specific time frame). After that your on your own buddy! And if you haven't already, most of the time your going to get hassled if your scooter was a lemon or problem scooter. And the dealer know he is going to have to spend lots of money repairing it. Not all dealers are bad, don't get me wrong (just a bad investment). Many of them have bad customer service reps with negative attitudes when answering the phone after you've made your purchase. When you looking to buy a Chinese scooter, try to get the best price. This way you can forget about the warranty and use that extra money to customize or upgrade your scooter engine and get the best performance possible. Also, keep in mind that most of these scooters are assemble by factories that purchase there parts from other factories that produce specific engine parts or body parts for that model. Remember, that the model or brand name is established by the manufacture in China or scooter distributors here in the US. Again, your best bet is to get a good price on a scooter, and use that extra money to invest (or upgrade) on quality engine parts, and or chrome body parts (if your looking to customize it). crankcase oil leaks

Got problems with crankcase oil leaks on your GY6 125cc/150cc engine? Are you building a 160cc, 170cc, 180cc 190cc big bore engine? Are you ruining your crankcase gaskets when installing them? We found the solution to this problem!!!!!!!!! For those of you who are rebuilding a GY6 125cc/150cc stock engine. Or in the process of ramping up your engine and installing a big bore kit. If your rebuilding a GY6 125cc/150cc stock engine, you know that one of the major issue we all have are gasket leaks. There are a few reasons for this problem: 1. gasket made of compressed cardboard material 2. gasket made of compressed cork material 3. crankcase may have some dents or holes that are ruining the gaskets when tightening the crankcase screws. 4. But one of the most common problems we all face with crankcase oil leaks are; flattening the gasket due from over tightening the screws on the crankcase. This is one of the biggest problems all mechanics and scooterist encounter when rebuilding there engines. NO MORE CRANKCASE OIL LEAKS - That's right!!!!! Now you can purchase a set of these High Performance Racing Aluminum Crankcase Gaskets for GY6 125cc/150cc Engines and stop those crankcase oil leaks. "IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY" Believe me!! Its funny how I try to answer questions for you, and all I get back is negative feedback you call spam. This is one of the reason I stop writing on these forums. I am really glad that you have spoken about us. Many folks don't know about our chrome body parts, and I anted to get the word out to them. This is one of the ways to do it. This is too time consuming, especially for those who can not appreciate a good word of experience. It's ashame that you could not appreciate it. But there will be others who read my feedbacks and respect them. Nevertheless, I wish you well anyway. Melazza  (Sep 11, 2009 | post #5)

Need help with my scooter!

ALTHOUGH THERE IS NOT MUCH TIME IN THE DAY TO TAKE OUT, AND VISIT ALL THE FORUMS. WE ALWAYS FIND TIME OUT OF THE DAY TO VISIT OUR SCOOTER FRIENDS AT TOPIX.COM. FOR THE MOST PART THERE ARE GOOD INTELLIGENT QUESTIONS TO ANSWER, AND GREAT PEOPLE TO TALK TO. TO ANSWER YOU QUESTION "Roketa Rocket". . CHECK YOUR CARBURATOR, OR MANIFOLD. CHECK THIS OUT: I RAN INTO A SITUATION A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO WHILE BUILDING A CUSTOMERS ENGINE AND TURNING IT FROM A 150CC TO A 180CC HIGH PERFORMANCE ENGINE. THE CUSTOMER WANTED TO KEEP HIS EXSISTING FACTORY MANIFOLD (NOT WANTING TO INVEST IN SOMETHING BETTER) ON HIS ENGINE. WE INSISTED THAT IF HE WAS GOING TO BUILD AN ENGINE SUCH AS THE ONE WE WERE BUILDING FOR HIM, HE SHOULD CHANGE HIS MANIFOLD. WE SUGGESTED THAT HE GO WITH OUR HIGH PERFORMANCE ALUMINUM MANIFOLD. NEVERTHELESS, HE STILL DECIDED TO KEEP THE FACTORY MANIFLOD HE HAD. I MEAN IF YOUR GOING TO BUILD A PERFORMANCE ENGINE LIKE THAT, MAN . . . LETS GO ALL OUT DUDE. ANYWAY, WE TESTED THE ENGINE (AS ALWAYS) ON A SCOOTER BEFORE SENDING IT OUT TO HIM AND IT WAS WORKING LIKE A CHARM. THAT SUCKER (THE ENGINE WE BUILT) WAS CRANKING A LITTLE OVER 91MPH AND WAS STILL ASKING FOR A LITTLE MORE. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, WE BUILD THE ENGINE AND SENT IT BACK TO HIM. TWO WEEKS LATER HE MENTIONED THAT HIS ENGINE WAS STALLING A LITTLE OVER 40-45MPH AND WOULD SHUT DOWN. WE COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHY THAT WAS HAPPENING. i MEAN WE BUILT THE ENGINE AND PLACED IT ON A SCOOTER AND TESTED IT FOR 3 DAYS (ABOUT 21-25 MILES) AND IT WAS WORK GREAT. BELIEVE ME IT TESTED MY EXPERTIZE. ANYWAY, AFTER THINKING IT OVER FOR 2 DAYS. wE REMEMBERED THAT THERE WAS ONE THING THAT WAS NOT CHANGED ON THAT ENGINE. IT WAS THE MANIFOLD. WE ASKED THE CUSTOMER TO CHECK THE MANIFOLD TO SEE IF IT WAS BROKEN? HE CHECKED AND HE TOLD US THAT IT SEEMED TO BE OK. STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE STALLING. BELIEVE ME I WAS BREAKING MY HEAD TRYING TO FIGURE THIS PROBLEM OUT. SO WE WENT AHEAD AND SENT THE CUSTOMER A HIGH PERFORMANCE ALUMINUM MANIFOLD. HE PLACED IT AND IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM. YOU KNOW, I WAS RIGHT, THE MANIFOLD DID HAVE A CRACK, WHICH PREVENTED THE CARBURATOR FROM SUCKING IN AIR. IF YOU GO TO MY WEBSITE (WWW.SCOOTERCHROME PARTS.COM) AND LOGIN AS A MEMBER (ITS FREE TO BECOME A MEMBER), YOU WILL THEN RECEIVE AN EMAIL TO ONFIRM YOUR EMAIL. NOTE: IF YOU DON'T LOGIN YOU WILL NOT SEE THE ENTIRE WEBSITE. ONCE YOU HAVE YOU LOGIN NAME, AND PASSWORD, GO TO THE HOW TO FIX IT (PAGES), THERE YOU WILL FIND A A FEW TOPICS (BUT ONE IN SPECIFIC). IT TALKS ABOUT THE FIVE POPULAR SPARK PLUG PATTERNS FOR TWO-STROKE ENGINES (THIS CAN BE APPLIED FOR 4 STROKES). AND WHILE YOUR IN OUR WEBSITE, YOU CAN ALSO FIND MANY SCOOTER MANUALS AND DIAGRAMS THAT WILL HELP YOU FOR FUTURE PARTS DESCRIPTIONS FOR YOUR SCOOTER. HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU OUT. GOOD LUCK, AND THANKS FOR YOUR TIME. MELAZZA (WWW.SCOOTERCHROME PARTS.COM)  (Sep 10, 2009 | post #95)
