Crackdown leads to drop in illegal immigration

Bullshit. Immigrants in Mexico, legal and not, are not coming to our country because our economy is tanking. If they come here then they can't make enough money to send back home, which is part of the whole point of them coming here. In some cases people are actually doing better in Mexico than they are doing here. http://www.cnn.com /2008/US/04/30/imm igrant.worker/inde x.html?eref=rss_to pstories So I guess we aught to congragulate ourselves on having an economy so bad that no one wants to immigrate here. I'm not really surprised our government is trying to take credit for the slowing flow of immigrants over our borders. Well, in a way they should take credit, seeing as how they have had a hand in ruining the economy. Now, if I had to chose between immigrants and starving to death during an economic depression...  (May 2, 2008 | post #159)

Is AIDS An Evolutionary Accident?

You can't be serious. Ok, misinformation like this is WHY aids spreads so rapantly in this county. No matter how much you "brush your teeth" or clean up, you can still spread aids, which is spread through blood, semen and also precum. Which means if you are going to go have sex, use a CONDOM, even if you are only doing oral. And learn to use it properly  (Apr 1, 2008 | post #27)

Scientists discover secret sex nerve

I agree with you about monogamy. It is a VERY recent development that not all cultures have even embraced, and frankly, in my personal opinion, monogamy sucks. By the way, in case you haven't noticed, I'm female. And you are completely wrong about this idea that women are "hard wired" only to have babies. I've known PLENTY of women who have had babies and are still VERY interested in sex. And I, as a woman, am not particularly thrilled with the idea of having children. My husband wants them really bad. I like the idea of having a progeny, and having my family name and history carried on (esp. as I am the last one in my family who can reproduce) but I am not overfond of kids and I don't like the idea of pregnancy. I am a polysexual (hate the term polyamorus... ick!) person myself and I <3 sex. I wouldn't give it up for anything in the world. The "hard wiring" idea you are talking about is actually just western culture rearing its ugly head again. Women are made to feel ashamed of their post-pregnancy bodies, and on top of that are made to feel as though sex is dirty or masculine, and that they shouldn't want it in the first place. Women are encouraged to want children, even when it isn't necessarily in their nature to do so.  (Mar 25, 2008 | post #9)

Scientists discover secret sex nerve

Women are conditioned to think that sex is bad, nasty, dirty and something that only men want. The same societal ideas that say that women who have sex a lot are "sluts" motivates this thinking. Women are, from an early age, trained by their caregivers and parents (who have been similarily indoctrinated) to be ashamed of their bodies. If you want sex, then become a feminist. Because trust me - women who are liberated DO want sex.  (Mar 25, 2008 | post #8)

Woman Births Child Nearly Her Own Size

Not everyone who has a "disability " considers it to be so. Just because her children won't look like you or your offspring doesn't mean that there is something wrong with them. They are just different from you. This has been an issue within the Deaf community especially, as a lot of "well meaning" hearing people try to interfere with Deaf parents and their wishes for their Deaf children. Frankly, it was really the Nazi's who started this whole idea that people with "disabilities " shouldn't have children. Their solution? They sterilized them and often gassed them later on. They also sterilized people who were German, but married to Jewish people. And then they started a campaign to wipe out everyone who isn't perfecty "aryan". Which means you, too. That's what happens once we start down this slippery slope  (Feb 29, 2008 | post #38)

Male spiders play dead for sex: study

Agreed. An intelligent designer wouldn't create a being who would say anything as ridiculous as what I just heard come out of your keyboard. Unless you are meant to be the comic relief? But that theory only works if we suppose a truly intelligent creator would have such a misogynistic sense of humor, which in itself is a great case for evolution  (Feb 27, 2008 | post #4)
