Rape victims rarely get pregnant because 'the female body...

What Obama voted against was legislation that would have extended the law's protection to any aborted fetus that shows any sign of life, even if doctors are certain that it cannot survive. All of which is a way of saying that the legislation was intended to force doctors to go through a charade of trying to resuscitate fetuses they extract during late term abortions. This was prior to the federal ban on the D&X (dilation and extraction, or, as it is known now, partial-birth abortion), which allowed doctors to pull fetuses they were aborting out in one piece, often for women terminating non-viable pregnancies but still wanted an intact corpse to mourn and bury. Under this law, these women—already suffering from losing a wanted pregnancy because of fetal defects or threats to their own lives—would have to not only go through the abortion, but also watch the doctors go through the motions of resuscitating a fetus that has no chance of life. Obama was instrumental in getting the Born Alive Act killed, but that doesn't mean that he—a father of two—has some vendetta against born babies and wants them murdered. Or that he believes human life is "expendable. " Like all other pro-choicers, Obama supports abortion rights because he values human life. "  (Aug 31, 2012 | post #403)

Alcohol, drugs contribute to fatal Claiborne County crash

As someone with drug and alcohol addiction in her family this is highly offensive. My uncle has been on and off drugs, heroin, crack, cocaine, you name it. But to say " if the family did a better job maybe he wouldn't have become a druggie " clearly shows your ignorance to this topic. My grandma used to spend nights crying wondering what she did wrong raising my uncle, she beat herself up for growing him marijuana in return for him not drinking. My grandmother my no means condoned what my uncle did nor does she now that he is grown up with his own family but she most certainly is not to blame for my uncle being a drug addict or alcoholic. She raised 3 other beautiful children who drink in moderation and would never touch a drug in their lives and also, the crackhead comment, I'm not sure where you get your information from ( obviously not a library ) but most crackheads or drug addicts in general for that matter are nice. They just have issues and have turned to drugs to escape in most cases. My heart goes out to the family. A young life was taken much to soon. He had much potential to still turn his life around. Please have some respect and if your going to post in such a emotional topic you should allow yourself to become more educated on the topic.  (Aug 31, 2012 | post #64)

when should I take the next hpt?

Hi, I am 21 with irregular periods since I can remember. My boyfriend and I have been having unprotected sex for a year now ttc. I am currently 28 days late on my period. I had my last period from July 5th-9th. My boyfriend and I had sex during my period and again near the end of July and then on August 11, 23, 25 and then this morning. I have found my sex drive is down much more then normal. I took a HPT the night of the 24th and then then last night the 28th both were negative. I have one more test here at home and am wondering when I should take it? can I test tomorrow morning? Or is this to soon? Any advice would be great. I don't want to go to the doctor to soon and yes I realize because my periods are not regular this very well could be stress. Thanks for any help!  (Aug 29, 2012 | post #1)

Squamish, BC

life in Squamish, BC

Hello, My boyfriend and I are thinking about moving to Squamish from Surrey. I am 22 and my boyfriend is 20. I grew up in a town of 300 in northern bc called Stewart. It was a small mining town, lots and lots of snow, mountains, glaciers, absolutely beautiful. I moved from Stewart at 12 to a bigger but still small community outside of Prince Geoege BC called Mackenzie then from 14-20 I lived in Merritt BC also a relatively small town and I met my boyfriend in high school there. Anyway I wanted some background information out there! Lol we are both from smaller communities, tried the city life and are now questioning a move to something not so busy. I thought Squamish could be a great place for us, not too big but yet has everything you need. Lots of outdoor activities, affordable living and only an hour drive from Vancouver. Squamish seems big enough to make friends and small enough to actually be able to see those friends! Any information will help! We are planning our first trip to Squamish this weekend to see for ourselves but would love some pre insight. Cheers  (Aug 29, 2012 | post #1)
