Terrorists Tactics...

Have been reading recently about how Islamic terrorists are using young children and teenagers to conduct their attacks. Teenagers sacrificing themselves because they are less scrutinized at security checkpoints. Terrorists send them out in explosive lined clothing or driving a rolling bomb into a crowd of innocents. Where is the world's outrage over these abuses? Why don't we hear from all those who are outraged by such human abuses? Why?...because it's not the US that is doing it. If they can't bash the US along the way it apparently takes all the fun out of it. I find it totally incredulous that the world loses their mind because we waterboarded some sub-human terrorists but has nothing to say about the terrorists abuses of children. Islamic terrorists cut off the head of a Westerner and the world is silent. The US makes terrorists/prisone rs take a little dip in the water and the world can't say enough bad things about America.  (Jun 7, 2009 | post #1)

President Obama would do better to just speak for himself and not assume he speaks for most Americans. I don't personally know anyone who would vacation in France and most I speak with go out of their way to not purchase French goods. The French constantly seem to need to be reminded that if it weren't for Allied armies during WWII, they would all be speaking German today.  (Jun 7, 2009 | post #44)

State park ranger was too aggressive to fine

In this day and age of stretched resources and limited funds I'm certain that all law enforcement are being told to write, write, write citations. Armed revenue collectors. The Ranger could have just as easily pointed out the issue and denied them entrance to the lake. Instead, the Ranger chose to hit them in their wallet. Welcome to PA!  (Jun 7, 2009 | post #6)

Bin Laden's Obama criticism a sign al-Qaida is worried ab...

Radical Islam is coming folks. We have left the welcome mat out in the form of open borders and political correctness. We Americans are simply evil things to them. Western culture in general is their enemy and they don't plan on stopping until they reach their goal of an Islamic world. We need to reinforce our original goals wherein those that won't help solve the problem are part of the problem. For starters, mainstream Muslims need to get on board or they are in for a very difficult time in Western culture because they will be seen as part of the problem instead of part of the solution. Islam is coming to America whether we like it or not. Peace loving Muslims who sit by and let their fellow Muslims speak(and kill) for them will ultimately be viewed as part of the problem. I've said this on this board before but it bears repeating...the next time Islam comes a knocking, we stand to lose 300,000 Americans instead of 3,000. Whether it's by way of Mexico, Canada or a shipping container...radica l Islam has a nuke with our name on it.  (Jun 7, 2009 | post #249)

RISKY BUSINESS: Firms reap millions in fees from swap deals

I don't know what all the fuss is about. Men who already have money are making more on the backs of the taxpayers and consumers by doing what is in THEIR best interests...isn't that how things work in America today? Isn't that business as usual? Mr. Lewis and Majewski would make any PA politician proud with the way they lined their pockets with their self-interests and conflict of interests. Something tells me the well being of BASD was somewhere far down their list of concerns.  (Jun 7, 2009 | post #23)

State lawmakers mull tax hike, spending cuts

Let me make this clear enough that even a politician can understand it....taxpayers can not afford one more tax increase for ANYTHING. The pockets of taxpayers have been bled dry and there is nothing left...not dime! The state of PA will have to make do just like the rest of us. Mr. Rendell...can you hear us now...NO MORE TAXES!  (Jun 7, 2009 | post #3)

I really enjoyed the part where Ms. Baker filed suit because she said she was too injured to work after being hit by Ms. Fulmer but she was ok to be county executive.  (Jun 1, 2009 | post #29)

Gas prices climb 19 cents over 2 weeks, but remain below ...

Apparently, there is nothing illegal about doing any of that. American consumers seem to be fair game for any and all companies. Example...why do gas stations raise the price of gas already in their tanks when the market raises price? The gas in their tanks didn't cost them any more money.  (Jun 1, 2009 | post #52)

Are you or President Obama going to buy me one of those new cars? I didn't think so. It's easy to talk like this and make statements like yours(as commendable as they are)but we have to live in today's real world with real expenses.  (Jun 1, 2009 | post #40)

That would take what is left of our economy and send us into a recession that would make this one look like a minor setback. I admire your intentions and goals but the transition has to be much slower than that. By raising gas tax by $3.00 per gallon, what do you say to those that are just making ends meet now? How do marginal income people get to work or buy what they need if your idea is implimented? I can't afford to pay $5.50 to $6.00 per gallon. That means I can't get to work to earn a living to support my family. Do you sort of get the picture?  (Jun 1, 2009 | post #39)

Wow, have some anger issues do we! The first sign a poster has nothing to offer a discussion is when they start off calling folks nasty names. An oil industry analyst and an oil company employee both stated those facts. Both of those individuals made those comments on a source even you would endorse...Fox News. Of course I wouldn't doubt that you would believe it unless it came from Rush's own lips.  (Jun 1, 2009 | post #33)
