It is amazing isn't it considering MOST of that occurs on weekends....not smack in the middle of the work week when everything else is trying to be juggled. You seem to have a hard - on for me...want my husband's # so he can deal w it???  (Jan 22, 2013 | post #55)

I hope you think Jane is Tarzan, b/c it's not me....I don't know who she is & I've never met her.....I've never actually even brought her up  (Jan 22, 2013 | post #49)

Sorry, I won't be running (mentioned that on another thread or two & I haven't changed my mind)...I don't do politics. When I said "for the people", I meant behind the scenes Sandy relief & animal rescue/outreach/ad vocacy. I don't know Jane....  (Jan 22, 2013 | post #48)

As far as I'm concerned, screw the "current village". March will be here & we'll be able to get rid of those that suck the life force out of this great town. I'm in it for the people that need it....not the ones that take what they can get. I don't need the public recognition for what i do for this community as others do. What i do may be News 12 worthy, but I don't feel the need to call them in & boast as the worker bees do everything as our great mayor has done. As for village meetings....I have a job & a family to feed & a husband that works crazy hours, their well - being comes before a meeting that I can't get to. Besides, others HAVE voiced their opinions, where has that gotten them??? For now, spreading the information & letting some people know what goes on to educate.....  (Jan 22, 2013 | post #45)

How do you provide links for things that are seen w my eyes? Nothing I've ever stated wasn't seen or heard by me. I haven't stated numbers or statistics. I've stated and described behaviors & and work ethics both good & bad that I've had the privilege of observing. You must have me confused....  (Jan 22, 2013 | post #43)

What was that "kettle" ? "Three years of a few nay sayers using multiple names and we know who most of you are on here..." You've got no idea....my name hasn't changed. First hand info is what I've posted....not delusions from inside my head. Keep drinking the cool aide as another would say....one day it'll be your turn to get bitten in the a$$ by this so called "government ". When that happens, make sure you keep it to yourself so you don't look like the complete fool you are to everyone here....  (Jan 20, 2013 | post #33)

Do what I said & take a walk around the devastated homes & talk to people w pulses instead of sitting behind your computer keyboard & find out what the village has really done....or better yet, NOT done for the people they supposedly represent. My comprehension skills, just as my reporting skills are quite fine thank you very much. The "government " we currently have sucks....March is approaching fast thank goodness. Maybe if you didn't spend so much time BEHIND the computer, you'd have a better sense of what has actually taken place since Sandy & how absolutely useless our current administration has shown themselves to be through their own lack of initiative, assistance and follow through when it comes to the people who they are supposed to be looking out for.  (Jan 19, 2013 | post #29)

Giving 3 years of their lives for me??? I'm calling the bullsh*t as it is. In the 3 years their pockets have gotten fuller & their attitudes have gotten bigger. Do you want to hear a fact that is 100% true. They're blocking Sandy re - building for families who are still "displaced " or living in homes that are lacking the essentials. They tell these people, re - build in the spring. Who the F wants to or should have to wait til the spring. They should be helping these poor people navigate the "system" & making things EASIER for them....not more difficult. If you think that's false...walk around my the waterfront & talk to these people w the destroyed houses. THEY'RE BEHAVIOR & LACK OF CONCERN FOR THE PEOPLE IN THEIR OWN COMMUNITY IS DISGUSTING. They should be ASHAMED of themselves.  (Jan 19, 2013 | post #24)

Washovers, flooding seen in Fire Island communities again

It may not be the Villages fault....but it's their responsibility to make sure it is maintained. You're wrong...their are shop owners that care. I know for a fact that Bow Wow has sunk quite a bit of THIER OWN $$$ into their building. The cheesecake place keeps his nice as does the ice cream....that "thrift store" dump needs to go. Beach burger keeps his cute, the little eclectic shop (I'm drawing a blank on the name) is awfully cute. The hairdresser is nice, Handy Pantry keeps their building decent as does the taxi even though there's not much to it. The Village has the responsibility to make sure that the rest is kept up & looking nice....they chose to run & get elected....not do the job...they cannot pick & chose what they would like to do, it doesn't work that way.....  (Jan 6, 2013 | post #70)

Crappy cottages??? Try driving through Mastic Beach in his century....MOST of them have been converted into nice homes by hardworking people.  (Jan 5, 2013 | post #65)
