Muslim sect delivers message of peace at Rochester Public...

Timothy McVeigh will always be in my mind just as those terrorists who killed the innocent victims on September 11th. It makes not difference of their religion and my point is, it doesn't matter what religion someone follows, there are extremist in all groups. The true teachings of Jesus are peaceful and so are the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. I can take verses from the Bible that sound very violent and the same goes for the Qur'an and other holy scriptures. You never look at another scripture to find faults and you look to see the beauties in these books. When you look for faults, your eyes will be blinded from the beauties in these scriptures. That is why if I read the Bible, I do it to see the beauties of the scripture and don't nitpick the verses that seem violent. Try that and see where it gets you. Dont feel bad for me as an Ahmadi, because I don't feel bad for myself. At the end of the day, the only person we are looking to please is God Almighty. We are truly a peaceful group and if you call us a more godly version of the filthy ignorant cult of Islam, you are entitled to your opinion. Dont you love America and being able to have free speech. I know I do and that is why we go and talk to others who have that hate in their hate and show them that Islam is a peaceful religion and Islam means peace by definition. So if you let me know where you live, I will give you an address to one of our mosques and I guarantee you will be welcomed with open arms and you can make the most hateful comments, but our members will continue to be peaceful to you because this is our religion - Islam Enjoy your day  (Apr 10, 2012 | post #16)

Well sick of it, thank you for your comments and you quite mistaken on many points. First, women in Islam have been given many rights and even today, we are still struggling with womens rights in America. It took up until this past election for a women to even come close to winning the presidential election whereas women have already served in this capacity in Muslim countries. Actually, I recently read something that women are banned from playing at the Masters gold course. Isn't this a little strange and we say Muslim women have no rights. I am not saying this to compare because there are many Muslim men who do not follow the teachings of the Qur'an and they do not give women equal rights which they are entitled. But, I say this because you along with so many other people bash Islam yet you know nothing about the religion. If you did, some of these comments would not have been made. Look at previous Prophets who had more than one wife. These Prophets were from all religions and not just Islam. There is no punishment for apostasy or blasphemy in Islam because the Qur'an clearly states, "there is no compulsion in religion." This verse completely erases this punishment although in some Muslim countries this verse is not followed by those in power. If you do research you will see that a lot of this is politically motivated in some of the so called Muslim countries. The Prophet Muhammad never called for the rape of females and this is truly a lie. Also, if you do your research, you will see that Ayesha was not 9 years old at the time of her marriage to the Prophet Muhammad. It is proven that she was older than that, some say 12. However, even if Hazrat Ayesha (rz) was only 12 at the time of her marriage consummation, this should not be a cause for alarm for 3 reasons. 1. The Catholic Encyclopedia says Mary Mother of Jesus (as) was 11 (and Joseph was 90) upon their marriage. 2. The law of the Talmud holds that a woman is of marriable age when she is 12 yrs and 6 months old. Hasidic Jews still practice this tradition that spans back tousands of years. 3. Here's some great data of American State Laws. http://topics.law. cornell.edu/wex/ta ble_marriage#g In New Hampshire, the legal age for girls is 13 w/parental consent; but wait, it gets better. In Mass, the legal age for girls is 12 w/parental consent; but wait, it gets better. In Mississippi, there is no age minimum for girls, as long as there is parental consent. In California, there is no age minimum for girls, as long as there is parental consent And of course, as we know, Hazrat Ayesha (rz) certainly had parental consent. So, even in the US, these laws are still in effect. Have you done research on this or are you only looking to criticize Islam? Well as a Muslim and an American, born and raised in the US by American parents I would hope I know of those who hurt my fellow Americans.
