Coach Chickerella was my phys ed teacher at Capital, but I followed his victory at Linden McKinley for the 1967 title. I'm glad that he was once of the people that I met along the road.  (Jul 20, 2011 | post #2)

Clintonville hardware store passes on to family's third g...

A nice story. I have shopped at the Beechwold ACE Hardware for over seventeen years and it is a wonderful place to do business. Being a neighbor, Malcom has an interest in what is going on in my life and I in his. He has loaned me tools at no charge and offered good advise. Long live Beechwold hardware, my place to pick up Scott/Miracle Gro products.  (Jul 8, 2011 | post #7)

I got started in photography in the 1970s and Herb Topy's Rich Street location was where I took my film. I had a wonderful time there and grew to love to staff. Herb was the greatest with tales to tell. I miss Chick also, who I went to when Topy's closed.  (Jun 15, 2011 | post #4)

Willie, we loved you and you loved us. Thanks for quenching our thirsts and hunger for decades at Thurn's and Plank's. "Our honor defend, we will fight 'til the end for O-HI-O!"  (Jun 2, 2011 | post #2)

Coach Jim Tressel out at Ohio State | BuckeyeXtra

Coach, sorry about the bad news, but things will be OK. Take time away and move on forward. I remember when you first got to Columbus, you joined me onstage and we sang "Hang On Sloopy." You can have a place in my group, although I might not be able to pay you as much. We had some great times together. Go Bucks! Forward.  (May 30, 2011 | post #1100)

Vulgarity at work can sully image | The Columbus Dispatch

To say that Donald Trump would make a bad president is to say the least. Trump is a womanizer also, ask many of the young people who have competed in the Trump sponsored Miss USA and Miss Universe competitions. Trump makes it a habit of working the room after the competitions and inviting the contestants to come to New York to audition for a job. Of course, the job is between the sheets with the Don. Vulgarity...rape. Those are great qualifications to be president.  (May 15, 2011 | post #1)

What an exciting evening of basketball, Texas A&M and Stanford, Notre Dame and UConn. I can't believe that we chose two underdogs and they both won. All four teams are champions. Congrates also to Toledo, who won the WNIT Tournament.  (Apr 4, 2011 | post #4)

Win or lose, we still love the Buckeyes. They excited us to no end by winning the Big Ten Tournament and the huge win against Georgia Tech was the most exciting game. Congratulations on another great season.  (Mar 27, 2011 | post #5)

Rob Oller commentary: OSU shows it can handle rough stuff...

Dear Lord, let us figure out how to beat Tennessee at least by one or two. I don't want to see Rob Oller headlines, "OSU Women Lose. They Are Soft!" in next week's Dispatch. Win or lose, we love our Buckeyes. They have made us proud, if they didn't win another.  (Mar 22, 2011 | post #2)

Basketball: Ohio State women advance to Sweet 16 with win...

Go Buckeyes. I've never been to a game so exciting and I've have been to a bunch of 'em. Georgia Tech was monstrous, but the Buckeyes were a little better. It boils down to hitting shots. Both teams were hitting and playing defense. Either team could have won. Now facing Coach Foster and his team is how to play Tennessee. Good luck.  (Mar 21, 2011 | post #1)
