I stopped by today and bought a few things. The lady had tons of stuff for sale! Will be taking hubby tomorrow as there was some gadgety stuff that he may 'need'. ;)  (Feb 18, 2011 | post #44)

HOT about Food Stamps!

My husband is selling a notebook on Craigs. He is asking $225 for it. He got a reply from a woman offering him $200 in food stamps for it. What the heck?? You want to give us OUR money to buy our notebook?!?! Insanity....  (Feb 14, 2011 | post #4)

Who remembers Earl Lee

When Earl Lee was in office all of the low life thugs knew better than to steal or break into cars or commit any of the offensive and/ or harmful crimes that are now being committed here an a daily basis. In general, it was a much safer time!  (Feb 9, 2011 | post #30)

Who remembers Earl Lee

His name comes up often between the hubby and myself. The begining of these conversations usually start with "If only Earl Lee were still here...."  (Feb 6, 2011 | post #2)

Benefit yard sale to help Ward family

You're right, anyone without a life insurance policy should definately look into one so they don't leave their loved ones struggling fianancially on top of the grief they will endure. Saying that, I must admit, when I had only been married 7 months and was still in college, neither my husband nor myself had life insurance. It wasn't that we were too cheap to buy it, or that we were spending needlessly elsewhere, but the truth is at that age it never, ever crossed my mind. Maybe I was just in a bubble, but I never thought about the possibility of anything tragic happening until I started having my children, then I wanted any and all coverage available.  (Jan 31, 2011 | post #7)

robbery???

I was leaving the mall around 3 pm today when two black males ran through the parking lot, then across the road, barely avoided getting hit by a car, and then crossed Douglas Blvd. There was an officer on foot right behind them. As we drove by on Douglas Blvd, there were 3 city cars on the side of the road by the interestate and they had they guys on the ground. Good work DC!!  (Jan 15, 2011 | post #6)
