We were having this very discussion today. There are Muslim people everywhere, right? But these Muslims who do all these wacko things in the name of Allah, don't represent the majority of Muslims in the world. The extremist Muslims seem to be from the middle-east (pakistan, saudi-arabia, iraq). Yeah, those from the middle-east and the ones from some arabic north-african countries are the extremist ones that are usually in the al-queeda. Those are the ones that, freak me out. Well the ones from, other countries, that don't really have a huge population that practice Islam, aren't the extremist ones. For example in South Africa, we have a number of Muslim people who are mainly concentrated in Cape Town. These people are ABSOLUTELY NOT the people that are portrayed in the news as Muslims. Hell no, these people are absolutely smart, polite and would never think of bombing a building. They are the ones the have the nice cars, houses and jobs. The way Muslims are being portrayed as terrorists, absolutely does not apply to the Muslims I talk to everyday. I have met a middle-eastern man, who threatened to blow up my house, so I think that there are a few issues in the middle-east. But Muslims are generally good people, so to say that Islam is pure evil is not correct. Islam should not be judged for a person's actions (Thursday Jun 26 | post #8)

Blacks experience equal racism today. My mother experiences racism at work. She works so hard, yet, she is hardly recognised. Mybe its not because she's Black, but maybe it is. Racism, doesn't have to be expressed physically, people can be racist to you without physically hurting. Yes, White people do face racism in South Africa, but they are still the majority that are living in the posh suburbs of Claremont and Black people are still impoverished and living in shacks.
