Welding inspector admits falsifying reports, says he 'mad...

There's a story here and I hope it gets out in the open. I just can't believe this guy did this out of simple laziness. There was some motivating factor - maybe he was paid, threatened, blackmailed. SOMETHING. Granted, there is no reason good enough to put those lives at risk and the reputation of the shipyard at risk.  (Jun 2, 2009 | post #14)

Texas mom who had dead fetus in filthy home convicted of ...

She didn't have to get pregnant that many times. In this country it is too easy to NOT get pregnant. There are thinks you can wear, things you can insert, pills you can swallow, shots you can have injected, surgeries you can have. Forget 9 abortions, how about 9 adoptions? First time is an accident. After that, it's deliberate.  (May 12, 2009 | post #71)

Hampton man with pants on fire faces charges

Which kid? The one that set himself on fire or the 2 y.o.? And if you're the mother of the 2 y.o., why did you stay outside watching that madman threat your child?  (May 11, 2009 | post #9)

Police say homeless man likely dangerous

The police have a pic. Question is, why didn't the DP run a copy of it with the article. DP dropped the ball on this one. I'm not normally a fan of the VA Gazette but they do have a pic with their story. Fort Monroe homes open for house tour on May 3

I can understand no smoking. I can understand no food. I can even understand no backpacks. I'm having some difficulty with the no cameras, though. At a $15 "donation ", I should be allowed to take a few pix. Guess I'll go catch some rays at Buckroe instead.  (Apr 30, 2009 | post #2)

I like it. They could operate the same way the Coleman bridge with the windshield scan thing for frequent travelers. For tourists like me, charge $1 each way. I'd gladly pay it because the trip is well worth it.  (Apr 30, 2009 | post #22)
