Biofuel bandits steal fast food grease

This is funny. The guy should have just asked for it or something. Well, at least we know that rising oil prices is causing folks to consider biofuels.  (May 5, 2011 | post #2)

Energy Independence - Oil from Algae

Algal-based biofuels has been in the news for a while. The US military has had several successful tests using it in jets. What's great about algae is that it doesn't compete with land, unlike crop-based biofuels and it can use waste water instead of fresh water.  (May 5, 2011 | post #2)

Google threatens coal with renewable funding

Good to hear someone's doing something about big bad coal. Really hope all of Google's efforts will have the desired effect of making renewables cost-effective.  (May 3, 2011 | post #2)

Why nuclear power is still a good choice

How can nuclear be safe? Can the latest technology prevent toxic waste and radiation from escaping in case nature decides to rock us with another devastating earthquake?  (Apr 28, 2011 | post #2)

Newly installed wind turbines idled by Minnesota's winter

Gas prices above $5 a gallon are seen on a sign at a gas ...

I agree. People should conserve more, that's the other solution. We're so caught up in the supply side of fossil fuels that we forget that taking a walk, car pooling or planning weekly trips can help reduce our oil use.  (Apr 26, 2011 | post #24)

Firms turning solar to help power their establisments

Probably not, which is why the government will probably need to keep subsidizing renewables.  (Apr 25, 2011 | post #6)

NY to build solar power plants on capped landfills

This is definitely a good way of making use of capped landfills.  (Apr 21, 2011 | post #2)

Are biofuel policies to help Mother Earth killing her mos...

RE has many unintended consequences. What's important here is to continue with biofuels that do not divert food crops and crop lands. The government should put an emphasis on non-crop sources or algae.  (Apr 21, 2011 | post #3)

Con: U.S. can't afford to scrap nuclear power

While it's true that nuclear power does supply the world with energy but we should slowly move away from it. If nature decides to unleash its wrath upon us, I'm not sure the best designed and most hi-tech nuclear plants stand a chance.  (Apr 21, 2011 | post #3)

Power from the sun

I love articles like this because they show the world that sustainable living is a choice and renewable energy works.  (Apr 18, 2011 | post #7)
