Economy struggles... starting with military deployment....

I served in the Air Force. They do have transition assistance to help out, but the individuals need to do there homework. It is not the Government's responsibility to take care of you once you are retired. I've ran accross all kinds of people during my career, and you can usually pick out the ones that will have trouble coping with the transition. The miltary environment doesn't always teach you to think for yourself because there is always someone to tell you what to do, or some instruction to follow. If you want to make it in the civialian world, you have to realize that things don't work the way they do in the military. People are held responsibile for their actions, and can get fired for just about any reason. I do not feel it is the governments responsibility to hold you hand after you retire. The TAP programs do teach you about resume writing and job interviews. Use these programs. The are good programs and I think they are not funded with tax dollars.  (Sep 29, 2008 | post #2)

Beachview Rd

Does anyone know if there has been any talk about building a bridge on Beachview accross the marian area? That road floods too frequrntly, and the alternate route via Point Aux Chenes is usually flooded to. I wish they would bulid a bridge like they did for the people in St Andrews and Pinehurst.  (Sep 11, 2008 | post #1)

TESI Rates

What are you paying for your water and sewer? I am paying $76.month. It's supposed to be a flate rate, so I'd like to see if everyone is paying the same rate for both services.  (Jul 18, 2008 | post #1)

Risky Water

It seems like our little neck or the woods is ignored by Jackson County. We are like the red Headed step child. Ocean springs to one side, Gautier on the other, and we are stuck in the middle! The peopel in Hurely are complaining about getting county water. If they don't want it, we'll take it! I pay $76/month for water and sewer, what is everyone else paying? it's supposed to be a flat rate, but i don't think everyone pays the same rate. I live by myself, and I only use the water to bathe and flush the toilet. What a rip off..  (Jul 18, 2008 | post #6)

PSC goes door to door checking on TESI

You're getting off cheap. My bill is $76/month. If TESI is charging a flat rate, why are we paying different amounts?  (Jun 9, 2008 | post #16)

PSC goes door to door checking on TESI

And by your comments here and on the other article, I would assume you are a TESI employee?? Just because other companies have the same problems dosen't mean we shouldn't get the quality we are paying for, but quality dosen't seem to be a major concern for TESI. I know several people that have worked for TESI and they all have the same negative attitude about the company. Maybe they are disgruntled employees, but usually there is a reason behind the attitudes.  (May 21, 2008 | post #11)

Risky Water

regardless of the reason, we have a rigth to know the quality of our water. If it wasn't for the press, we probably would never have gotten the notices that our water had failed quality tests. I feel we should be getting better water and better service for the rates we are paying.  (May 21, 2008 | post #3)

PSC goes door to door checking on TESI

I have lived in a lot of places, and I have never had the problems that I do here, and I have never paid nearly as much for water I can't even drink. The PSC blames it on TESI and TESI blames it on PSC. I've talked with many people using city water systems and they do not pay nearly as much. This is actually the first place I've ever lived that has private utility companies. I guess it's a common thing in the south.  (May 20, 2008 | post #6)
