Technology and Health

People back then lived an active lifestyle where children would actually go outdoors to play games with their friends and family. It starts as soon as the sun comes out and they would go home before the street lamps are lit. Social sites, console games and the internet were rare if not non-existent. Games are made up and are played physically with balls and sticks. Compared today, most kids would stay indoors and spend their time playing x-box, playstation and a lot of computer games. The internet has become widely used for study that the need to go to a library was not necessary, though some have internet ready computers of their own. Homework was just a click away against the actual library visits and going through catalogue in order to search for a book. With this kind of lifestyle, health is greatly affected in a not so good way since people become sedentary most or all of the time. More and more people are becoming overweight and the numbers are counting up to almost the half of the total population in the U.S., where diseases associated with obesity have become a normal case in hospitals and health clinics. Consuming high calorie foods is not the main culprit for people to gain weight, but due to being inactive. Foods that are consumed are converted into energy by the body and if not used, it does not come out of the system, but is rather stored in the different parts of the anatomy for future use. This causes the physic to expand in order to accommodate more and most of the organs deteriorate and sometimes fail to accomplish its proper functions since it cannot endure too much work leading to poor health. Diseases need treatment and medical cares do not come for free since you need to pay for the prescribed drugs, professional services and the use of health care facilities. Aside from the illness, you are left with bills that are quite expensive, especially if you are not protected by a health policy. Health insurance is a service that is paid for and can be reimbursed when certain circumstances occur. It is a health care tool that is used to pay for costs that you incur when feeling ill and need medical attention. Mason and Associates offer health packages that are custom tailored for every individual and firm. They assist in small business health insurance for companies that consist of small members through group insurance. These plans are meant to meet the demands of a person wherein he can also include his/her family in the coverage to make sure their health expenses are secured.  (Jun 16, 2014 | post #1)
