The parents have been arrested in Spain. English Police flying out to Spain. Ashya is in a Spanish hospital. A lot of criticism of the Police action on Twitter. The basic problem here is the lack of proper treatment in English Hospitals. http://bit.ly/1qfZ o7p  (Aug 31, 2014 | post #16)

Child taken from hospital by his parents

Brett and Naghemeh King took Ashya from Southampton General Hospital, in England, on Thursday to seek a cancer treatment in Spain not available in England. This family are getting a great deal of public support and sympathy in England on social media. This is not a blood issue. Brett and Naghemeh are seeking proton beam radiotherapy for Ashya - a treatment that targets tumours directly - because they did not want him to be "pelted with radiation". Ashya King video released by his family. http://bit.ly/1B6W Hsv  (Aug 31, 2014 | post #15)

Child taken from hospital by his parents

The health of a five-year-old boy taken from hospital by his parents against medical advice will deteriorate rapidly as the battery on his feeding system runs out later, police said. Ashya King was taken from Southampton General Hospital, England, and is now believed to be in France with his family. He was allowed to leave the ward under the supervision of his parents. It has also been confirmed the family are Jehovah's Witnesses, but there is no suggestion this is why he was taken. Brett King, 51, and Naghemeh King, 45, removed him from the ward on Thursday. A spokesman for the hospital, which contacted police six hours after they left, said: "Ashya was a long-term patient who was permitted to leave the ward under the supervision of his parents as part of his ongoing rehabilitation. "When the length of time he had been absent became a cause of concern to staff yesterday afternoon they contacted police after a search of the site and attempts to contact the family were unsuccessful. " Speaking at a news conference, Assistant Chief Constable Chris Shead said "time was running out" for Ashya. http://bbc.in/1C8D Rm6  (Aug 29, 2014 | post #1)

Jehovah's Witness

What is the trinity?

John 17:3 does not say eternity can have a start. When you receive something, anything, there is a day when you receive it, which is not evidence that the gift "started " to exist on that day. To illustrate. You might inherit your parents house but it did not "start to exit" when you inherit it. Eternal life has been eternal life for eternity, without beginning. You can receive that eternal life and partake of that eternal life when you become a Christian believer.  (Jul 12, 2014 | post #13711)

What is the trinity?

The Bible does not say the Word was begotten before becoming flesh. Read the passage carefully before attempting to refute me. Examine how the passage uses “was” to describe what the Word “was” before Jesus was begotten of God by means of the Holy Spirit. It was the man Jesus who was begotten in time and indwelt by the eternal Word of God. It is the resurrected Jesus “who is in the bosom of the Father”.  (Jul 12, 2014 | post #13710)

Jehovah's Witness

What is the trinity?

Acts 7:1 “The God of glory appeared to our forefather Abraham.” Genesis 17:1 “When Abram got to be ninety-nine years old, then Jehovah appeared to Abram and said to him: -- ‘I am God Almighty’” How could God have appeared to Abraham? Genesis 26:24 "And Jehovah proceeded to appear to Isaac during that night and to say:‘I am the God of Abraham your father’." -- How could God have appeared to Isaac? Genesis 35:9-11 “God now appeared to Jacob once again during his coming from Paddanaram and blessed him. And God went on to say to him: -- ‘Your name is Jacob. No longer is your name to be called Jacob, but Israel will your name become.’ And he began to call his name Israel. And God said further to him:-- “I am God Almighty’.” How could God have appeared to Jacob? Exodus 6:2,3 “I am Jehovah. And I used to appear to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as God Almighty.” How can it be that Jehovah God spoke and/or appeared to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses when the Bible says: -- “No man has seen God at any time ….you have neither heard His voice at any time nor seen His figure”?  (Jul 11, 2014 | post #13700)

What is the trinity?

To even think that the Word of God had a beginning is to say that there was a time, before the creation of the universe, when God could not think or speak. To think like that is preposterous. Why? Because the Word of God is the Logos of God. So what? Because 'Logos', in the Greek language, means thought, reasoning, utterance. So God, without His Logos, cannot think. God, without His Logos, cannot reason. God, without His Logos, cannot speak. Such is totally unthinkable and irrational. The truth is that the Word of God is eternal with God and intrinsic to God. 1 John 1:1-3 "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life — the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us." "That eternal life which was with the Father" means the Word was eternal with the Father. Got it? "That eternal life which was with the Father" is the eternal Word of God i.e. no beginning.  (Jul 11, 2014 | post #13697)

That is not an assumption. That is what the Greek word 'Logos' means. Check any Greek Lexicon. "the mental faculty of thinking, meditating, conception, idea, reasoning, calculating, regard, consider, cause, decree, word, saying"  (Jul 11, 2014 | post #13694)

What is the trinity?

You can only assume that I believe what the Bible actually says. John 1:14 "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." The Word became the person of Jesus Christ.  (Jul 11, 2014 | post #13692)

Wrong The Greek 'Logos' includes thought and reasoning before the mouth speaks it. So God, without His Logos, cannot think. God, without His Logos, cannot reason. God, without His Logos, cannot speak. Such is totally unthinkable and irrational. The truth is that the Word of God is eternal with God and intrinsic to God.  (Jul 4, 2014 | post #13529)
