Didn't read all of your posts, but did anyone explain to you that ABS (anti-lock braking system) makes your stopping distance LONGER and not shorter? The benefit of ABS is the ability to control your car since the wheels don't lock up. However, it will take you a little farther to stop.  (Wednesday | post #54)

Not necessarily...some auto manufacturers grew during that time. The Big 3 are famous for having to offer 0% interest for up to 72 months, because that was the only way they could sell their cars. So people bought the cars @ 0% interest and no money was made by the creditors. It's a vicious cycle.  (Monday Dec 21 | post #3788)

To start with fRANK, we got about 5 or 6 inches of snow where I am. Not too bad. Now: As far as people wanting to see GM fail, I'm not one of them. I've said countless time on here that I hope they can turn it around and be strong again. But you have to realize that the greed of the CEOs and the UAW is what is KILLING them. Until they understand that there are people who would give their right arm to be making HALF of what the UAW earned and continued to do so after putting out sub-par products, they won't learn their lesson.  (Sunday Dec 20 | post #3785)

You, on the other hand, go to your old stand-by of "the Japanies bombed Perl Harber and you all hate your country" when asked to back up your statements. I did notice you have two other narrow-minded, "Rah! RAH! Buy American even if it's crap" people to support you though. You must be happy. Yep. You got me. It's Wal-Mart all the way for me. From their clothes, to their shoes, and I LOVE me some Sam's Choice anything... Circle, you obviously are grasping at straws. I've owned American cars and were burned by multiple repairs for the same thing (by two different companies, i.e., Buick and Dodge). Like I said, when they can build a product that REALLY competes and offers the same level of reliability, I'll buy one. As far as my job being shipped overseas, another straw grasped at and missed. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and work in social services. I deal with people on a daily basis...most of whom appear to be more rational than you. Don't have to worry about my job being shipped overseas. Nice try. Maybe YOU have to worry about that one.  (Friday Dec 18 | post #3761)

fRANK, what GM product or products do you own? I thought you had an Es-crap? Also: Show me the reliability ratings for GM, Ford, and Dodge compared to the other makers. As my other "Japanies " lovers say, put your money where your mouth is. Provide a link (if you know how) that shows how much more reliable the Big 3 vehicles have been and I'll leave you alone.
