Reputed Dayton crime figure Bill Stepp has died

("My father feared no man...ever! It's funny how these stories come out after he's passed away!") Words so true indeed Nina! I guess after 5 years people tend to forget what your Dad stood for! Mark  (Dec 28, 2013 | post #228)

KG: With all due respect, Bill was a good man. if you're going to post crap like that with that kind of an attitude, allow me to politely remind you that you're gonna be the one who threw gasoline on the fire and continue to dream up your "Bullshit " stories. let the man rest, Get your Facts Right. I was told that Bill Stepp made Salt very nervous before the 1973 Indy 500 and thats why he crashed at the start of the race? so its Bill's fault that Salt got hooked on the painkillers.  (Mar 12, 2013 | post #195)

Gambino12: Bill was a good man, His Father Took him to Docks around Cincinnatai as a young man to fight with the tough guys that work at the docks in that area, His Dad and others would Bet on the out come of the Fights, Kinda like the Tough man contests of today, Bill Seldom lost a fight if ever. Bill was a very Strong man. He moved to the Dayton Area in the Late 50's or Very Early 1960's. He became involved in autos and Car Racing at this Time, His Race Cars were seldom beat also. He Mostly hired drivers to Race (Yes some Street racing was done also)his cars for him, They the cars (many) were named :"Lil Red Riding Hood" He was very respected and admired in the Miami Valley area. He was never "Mafia" as others have said.  (Jan 6, 2013 | post #146)
