Honolulu Lite: Prophets are profiting as end nears

Wait till the year 2012 approaches so all the hoopla surrounding the Mayan Calendar can take affect. I don't think it will carry the same hype as Y2K, but it will cause some people to lose sleep at night.  (Jun 12, 2008 | post #3)

Marine In Puppy-Tossing Video Booted From Military

Okay, I know this kid is not getting a discharge for the puppy video, I don't work at Kaneohe so I really don't have any informants out there who could let me know what really happened. The question that runs through my mind is, what is it that this kid did? I am going to bite and say he popped on a drug test. I am sorry I just don't see him getting kicked out for the puppy incident.  (Jun 12, 2008 | post #1)

What is the roughest area in Hawaii?

Okay, I am interested into hearing your opinions about some of the neighborhoods in Hawaii. I already know of some that people complain about, such as Waianae, Kalihi, and Chinatown. I am not too familiar with the other islands, so if you people want to chime in about your particular island I am all ears, or eyes in this situation. Factors I am looking for in your opinion are crime and intimidation in those areas. *I have no agenda hear, I am just like to hear people voice their concern about there towns. I do love Hawaii and wish I could stay here.  (Jun 8, 2008 | post #1)

Police search, two fatal hit-run accidents

What goes around comes right back around, whoever commited this heinous act will receive payback tenfold (if you believe in that kind of stuff). This is a small island, they will get theirs.  (Jun 6, 2008 | post #49)

Sea-Based X-Band Radar returns to islands

Missile defense baby! I heard that the thing can track a baseball size object in the atmosphere, that is just an example of how sensitive the thing is.  (Jun 6, 2008 | post #11)

The "Hardest Workers In The World"

There are hard workers in every realm of the planet, there is no one race or gender that works harder than the other. Just as we have lazy people in every race. I am Puerto Rican, and my family always told me not to be the typical lazy Puerto Rican. She would tell me that Mexicans are hard workers. I do not buy into that because I have met Mexicans who give zero effort in anything. The same applies for all races, every group has their heroes and zeros.  (Jun 4, 2008 | post #10)

College Football: UH vs Florida, who wins?

U of Hawaii is in a rebuilding phase this year, therefore I can only see them being competitive for the first quarter, maybe two. Florida will be dominant on offense but has a questionable secondary. Florida wins 42-14.  (Jun 4, 2008 | post #1)
