Prove there's a god.

DUH! Yes, if someone makes a claim, the burden of proof is on them to support that claim. That's only logical. If the DA brings charges up on someone, it is up to him to prove his case. If the accused says they are innocent, it is up to them to support and prove that claim. any logical person knows this...but there I go expecting logic from someone like you. Why do you think religion is synonymous with faith? its because there is no proof of the existence of god? people take on faith that there is one. that have faith that god exists. Listen, I really don't care what mythology you believe in. Just that you be friggin honest and admit there is no proof that your god exist and that you have faith that it does  (Apr 14, 2013 | post #616343)

geesh, you really don't know too much about history. Refrigeration is definitely a necessity today. before it, people stored food in the ice box and men delivered ice daily. today's populations would not be able to survive without refrigeration.  (Apr 13, 2013 | post #616080)

they do it because in the 80's hospitals became a for profit industry. Your post is the best reason for single payer (gov't) health care. Hospitals are a monopoly. You can't shop around when you have an emergency medical condition. No can you if your doctor is associated with a particular hospital. They have you over a barrel and can charge whatever they want and they do. Time magazine did a great investigative report on it a few weeks back  (Apr 13, 2013 | post #616075)

Prove there's a god.

That's a pretty moronic statement. Yes people in the past have been able to live off the land. However, with today's populations, it would be impossible for everyone to live off the land. Large farms, ranches, etc are required to produce enough for to feed the masses  (Apr 13, 2013 | post #616070)

Bush is a hero

Health care should not be a for profit industry. Time magazine did an excellent investigative report on health care. The amount of overcharging by hospitals is unfriggin believable. Think of it, they have you over a barrel and can charge whatever they want. If you are in an accident, its not like you can shop around for the best prices. If your doctor is associated with a particular hospital, which most are, again you don't have the option to shop around. Its a monopoly and should be regulated as such. The best and only way to do that is with universal, single payer coverage, i.e. gov't health care. Health care costs weren't such a big issue back in the 50's & 60's. It wasn't until corporate America realized the potential for huge profits in Hospital care and hospitals became a for profit industry that health care costs sky rocketed in the 80's  (Apr 13, 2013 | post #161202)

I have 3 rescues myself. one was returned twice to the pound for fighting, It took a lot a patience and love to turn him around. The other was severely crippled with hip dysplasia. It was so bad, he'd walk with his butt in the air on his two front paws--looked like he was walking on his "hands". The vet recommended I put him down. Instead, I kept him and changed his diet. he's on a raw organic diet with glucosamine, enriched vitamin C and protein. He now walks on all 4 legs and is the happiest little bobo in the world the three of them keep me in stitches all the time, I call them the THREE STOOGES. One thing I've noticed, if any dog, no matter what size messes with Gabby (the one with Hip dysplasia) the other two viciously attack. they go straight for the neck and don't let go.  (Jul 2, 2011 | post #385452)

since I never used that term please enlighten me as to the problem with my post below Marine 4 Impeachment wrote: <quoted text> DUH! Those reasons are not MOOT (I'm pretty sure you didn't mean no sound i.e. mute) the reason we didn't get the oil, or the future military bases is strictly because of the gross incompetence of the Bush administration. Impeachment is not just for Presidents. In order to remove a Supreme Court Justice, he/she must be impeached. I am for impeaching Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. He had a vested monitary interest in the Campaign Finance Reform Case and did not recluse himself. He also withheld financial information from his financial disclosure statement for over 10 yrs.  (Jul 2, 2011 | post #385311)

I've got mine, to hell with you :Does that apply to health care and insurance too. when I am being oppressed by an evil dictator, I will rise up and fight. Its up to the people of a country being oppressed to rise up and fight for democracy, just like our fore fathers did. and I served to protect that democracy too. shall we go after every evil dictator? BTW I am against what we are doing in Libya  (Jul 2, 2011 | post #385295)

What a load of markley. Go read the paper put out by Project for a New American Century, a (UN)think tank that every major player in President George W Bush administration was a member of, and you will learn the real reasons we invaded Iraq. 1. We went in so that we could dominate the Middle East, by using Iraq as a military staging area. 2. We went in because of oil. Iraq's oil reserves haven't even been inventoried yet. Some think there is more oil in western Iraq than Saudi Arabia ever had. Most oil experts think Saudi oil reserves are past their peak. 3. And from Karl Rove's perspective, we started a war which they thought they could easily win in order to get President Dumbo re-elected. Saddam was a paper tiger, we all knew that. We also knew he didn't have any WMD's, they were destroyed in 98 by Clinton. Even Wolfowitz admitted it. Saddam was a threat to no one outside his country, plain and simple. funny thing is, we didn't get the oil contracts...... the real threat in the area, well besides Israel, is Iran and our actions in Iraq have increased Iran's power and influence in the area. BTW, there are hundreds of evil dictators around the world, some of them are actually a threat. ITS NOT OUR JOB TO RID THE WORLD OF EVIL DICTATORS.  (Jul 2, 2011 | post #385261)
